57. Fondly, February

Y/N's POV

"It's finally February, everyone. The annual school festival is drawing closer as well." Mister Jin announced in front of the class.

It's once again Monday. This one isn't different from the previous ones. I hate it as much. Whoever loves Monday... I hope there isn't anyone at all. Whoever loves Monday, must have a pretty bright view of life. How enviable. What makes this Monday a bit worse is that it's February first.

"It's also the month of Valentine's day!" An Qi commented in a squeal. My face scrunched up as the others followed in on the excited cheers and squeals. I don't get what they're so excited about.

"Y/N, I call dibs on half of the chocolates you'll receive this month!" Lin Fan called out from beside me.
"Yeah, okay. Whatever." I answered and just nodded.

"People give her gifts? I mean, doesn't she scare them away?" Keran spoke up from beside Lin Fan, making me roll my eyes.

"I can perfectly hear you, Keran." I huffed but did not bother turning towards her.
"Oh, hehehe. Peace." She replied sheepishly.

"But yeah. She usually scares them away. That's why they give the chocolates to Keyin since she's Y/N's secretary." Lin Fan answered Keran.

I glanced at the two of them for a moment. Something has definitely changed between them. They don't talk as much as they used to. Their interaction is decreasing, to say simply. And I noticed that it started after their set-up date. Whatever's the cause definitely happened then.

"Now for our class booth. Do you guys have any ideas?" Mister Jin asked the class.

"How about a horror escape room?"

"No!" We all turned to Yuxin who was quick to disagree with the idea.
"I meant to say, that the Class B is already doing that." She added. Her face now being back to blank. Yet I didn't miss the flicker of embarrassment that was there for a split second.

She looks better now. She was able to cover the cuts and bruise that decorated her face, with makeup. You would only know that there are cuts if you know that she has them in the first place. The only cut visible is the one on her lips. She also left her hair natural today, and it gave her a soft look. Such a contrast to her intimidating stare.

She's standing in front next to Mister Jin. She's leading the meeting as well as she's our president. Even being under the stares given to her because of her sudden outburst, her face remained blank. The only trace of embarrassing being seen on her ears which are a faint pink.

"Liu Yuxin is right, Class A. Class B is doing a horror room, Class C with games. While D and F are together for the love booth." Mister Jin said.

"Love booth? What's that? Is that like a blind date thing, cause I'm down for it." Shangguan Xi'ai commented, making some snickers erupt in the room.

"True. When Britney Spears said 'my loneliness, is killing me' I felt that." Dai Yanni added and even sang the line.

"Jony J Laoshi said that the concept of their booth is a mixture of things surrounding love. Like confessing, enjoying love and even finding it. So, yes. There would be some dates and set-ups." Mister Jin answered, making us awe in understanding.

"Their booth is like all in one, huh? It sounds great." Xiaotang said, making all of us nod in agreement.
"Yeah, that means we have to make sure that ours would be just as great or even better." An Qi said.

"Oh, I have an idea!" Lin Fan announced and raised her hand.
"We can do a café booth with pastries and drinks and all that. It'll be a sure trend with valentine's day themed foods!" She said once Mister Jin cued her.
