18. Sweetly Starting

Lu Keran's POV

Today is Friday and the school is still quiet. Not a lot of people are around since it's still very early. I let out a sigh as I pulled my coat tighter around my body. Now it feels so creepy to be walking alone, but it's not like I have any other choice since Yuxin and Xiaotang are having their daily Student Council meeting.

I would've stuck around and waited for them, but I'm too impatient for that. That's why here I am now, walking towards Class A room. Maybe someone's already in there. I remember that one time that Lee Y/N was early and I had fun bothering her. But she did stick to her words that she'll never come in early again.

Which reminds me, Yuxin and her haven't stopped fighting with each other until now. It's growing ridiculous honestly. They've been going at it for weeks now already. And they've been in trouble more times than I can count and keep up with. They pulled pranks and I must say that I didn't expect Yuxin to actually do that. I swear, it's World War 3 every time those two are in the same room together.

"Wo shi wo, ta shi wi. Ni shi wo na wo shi shei!"

I stopped walking up the stairs as I heard somebody rapping. Now feeling curious, I looked down the flight of stairs and saw Lin Fan. She has her earphones on and casually talking as she climbed up. I let out a small laugh of amusement at her antics as I continued to watch her. She was even gesturing around with her hands as she goes. She's really good at it too.

"Good morning, Fanfan." I greeted with a smile as she finally reached the flight of stairs I'm on and locked eyes with me. She seemed frozen for a couple of moments, a red blush tinting her pale cheeks before she removed her earphones.

"Erm, good morning, K-Keran." She stuttered, clearly a bit embarrassed as her face grew even redder.
"You rap really good, Fanfan." I praised, giving her a smile. She just stared at me, eyes wide and doe like.

"R-really? T-thanks, Keran." She managed to utter out.
"Oh my god. This is so embarrassing." She whispered but I still managed to hear it.

I laughed before stepping down so we're in the same step of stair. She is too engrossed in her own world and mumblings to notice it though. I casually slung an arm around her shoulders, which wasn't any way difficult at all since we're about the same height.

"I'm not joking. You're really good." I spoke as I lightly tugged her along so we can go o the classroom together.
"Do you take rap lessons?" I sparked up a conversation, keeping my eyes forward.

"U-ugh, no. It's just a hobby. Y/N, Yu Yan and I are like a group, you know? I rap, Yu Yan sings and dances and Y/N. She's a bit of it all but she mainly sings." She shared happily, making me look at her and see that she's smiling brightly.

"You could've fooled me. You're as good, even better than most idols!" I responded and returned her smile.
"You know, rumor has it that Jony J laoshi is a part time rapper under a pseudonym and that he trains some students. You should ask him." I added in a whisper, leaning closer to her as it was a secret.

I didn't even notice that we're already in front of our room. I leaned away from her and waited for her to respond. Just like what happened earlier, she was beet red again. It makes her look cute. A small smirk then occupied my lips.

"Am I making you blush, Fanfan?" I asked, lightly teasing her. The answer was clear as her eyes widened a little bit more and her blush intensified.

"No, ugh. It's just a-allergies. Yes!" She spluttered before she backed away, making my arm fall from her shoulder.

Before I could say anything, she turned away from me and towards the door. I could still faintly hear the mumbles she's making and see the red tip of her ears. Not wanting her to suffer in embarrassment any longer, I stepped up beside her and opened the door.
