Y/N's POV

'I need taking care of, Y/N. I'm sick.'

'I need taking care of, Y/N.'

'I need-'

"Shut up!" I groaned out and frustratedly rubbed at my face.

It's been hours now but I still haven't managed to focus on my work. I let out another groan and defeatedly slumped on my desk. My forehead bumped against the wooden surface and it hurts but I couldn't care less. Maybe the collision would help me get my mind straight and back to normal functioning.

"Come on, just forget it, Y/N." I grumbled as I continuously bumped my head against the desk.
"It's not even that big of a deal..." I groaned out.

Yeah, who cares about that? It's not even a big deal. Liu Yuxin is just having some unhinged screws in her brain and that's making her act all so strange and just plain out weird. Who cares if she's acting different and... ugh, clingy? It's disgusting and it made her look cute. Wait, what?!

"Goddamn it!" I cursed as I banged my head too hard on the table. I sat back and rubbed at my now, throbbing forehead. I don't need a mirror to know that the spot is now a flashy red against and in the middle of my fair forehead.

As the pain finally subsides, I let out a heavy sigh before chugging the glass of water beside me. I shouldn't be distracted by these little things, much more, thinking about those kinds of things. My god, no way in hell do I think she's cute.

"Enough fooling around." I said sternly before stretching my arms and picking up my pen to finally start. I forced any other unnecessary thoughts out of my head and kept my focus on actually making progress with my work.

It's been proven to be quite a difficult task as my mind keeps wandering and flying everywhere. May it be because of suddenly noticing something or my brain just randomly comes up with existential questions.

For what felt like the hundredth time, I caught myself staring off into space once again, mind just blank and it's like it's just refusing to cooperate with me. I can't even remember what I was supposed to be doing. I messed up my hair before slumping down and just giving up. Maybe it's just not yet time for my creative juices to be fully functioning.

I reached for my phone and it's already a little bit past eleven o'clock. Damn, I've been here for so long but I haven't even managed to fill out a single page of paper. I stood up and headed out of the basement. I should start making lunch.

Before doing that, I jogged up the stairs to check up on Liu Yuxin quickly. I don't know if she really came down to eat her breakfast. Maybe leaving her to fend for herself wasn't such a good idea. I even almost forgot that we're in the same house as it was too quiet. She was quiet.

I pushed the door open and poked my head into the room. Everything is still in order and the way I left it. I stepped in as I noticed that Liu Yuxin is sleeping quietly. I walked up to my bed and for a moment, awkwardly just stood there.

She looks a lot different like this. The blankness and glare that usually occupy her face are now non-existent and now, she's peaceful like she doesn't have a single problem.

I carefully reached down and slowly placed my palm on her forehead. I was cautious to make a sound and accidentally wake her up. I don't know what her temperature was, before they came here. But right now, she just feels a lot warmer than normal, but not to the point where it's scorching hot.

"Hmmm? What you doing?" She suddenly grumbled and her eyes slowly fluttered open, making me retract my hand back as fast as lightning.
"I... I was just checking your temperature. Don't worry about it." I answered before walking towards my desk to get a thermometer and accurately check.
