Yuxin's POV

I let out a long sigh and ran a hand through my hair. The drama practice finally ended. Almost two hours of drama practice with Ella Laoshi and Kong Xue'er felt like infinity and utter hell. There are hardly any progress in our work.

I know exactly what the problem is. Everyone can see it, honestly. Kong Xue'er and I just aren't working well together. It might be because I despise her. There's just something annoying about her and it definitely ticks me off. She just couldn't get a clue.

I told her countless of times that I don't like her. And if there's something I hate the most, it's people trying to squeeze themselves into something that they clearly aren't supposed to. I made it clear that I don't want anything to do with her but she just won't understand. That made acting with her, even more difficult.

If I've known that it's going to be her, whom I'm acting with, then I wouldn't have bothered auditioning and accepting the role. Then I wouldn't have to deal with all this annoying crap. Everyone is getting fed up with all of this too.

Ella Laoshi who usually doesn't get mad easily, has been scolding us for the past few practices. It made the sessions very tensed and hear to bear with. I honestly think that she's planning to replace us already. Hence the sudden meeting of all the people involved.

I'm already a few meters away from the theater hall. The questionable and strange thing is that no one's around yet. I was expecting students to be rushing in the entrance, but no one's there. I definitely didn't see Y/N and the others. Where is everyone?

Nonetheless, I walked towards it and pushed the doors open. I only saw Ella Laoshi up on the stage and fixing something. My brows furrowed as I closed the door again after stepping out. I looked around. It's like the school grounds suddenly became an abandoned ghost school.

I pursed my lisp as a tinged of fear crawled up my back. I'm never too good when it comes to scary things. I couldn't even bear to be in a dark room. I literally just went to the restroom and came out to find everybody seemingly gone.

"President Liu!"

I jumped out of my spot and immediately turned towards the call. My heart is beating erratically because of the scare. I glared at the girl now standing in front of me. She's breathing heavily as if she just ran a mile. I don't know her but she must be from Class c judging by the color of her sweater.

"What do you need?" I asked once I recovered from the scare.

For a couple of seconds, she only managed to let out splutters, failing to make any sense. She pointed towards the buildings, making my brows meet in confusion.

"Kong Xue'er... clinic..." She panted out.
"Kong Xue'er is in the clinic?" I repeated and she vigorously nodded.

"And so? I'm sure Mrs. Wu is there to tend to her." I dismissed and rolled my eyes. She scared the living soul out of me for that? I was about to step past her but she shook her head.

"N-no!" She breathe out before standing in front of me.

I let out an exasperated groan as I looked at her in annoyance. She's still busy panting and catching her breath to let out any words. I crossed my arms and silently waited for her to speak up. I'm mentally counting the seconds being wasted here.

"Breathe and stop spluttering nonsense! Just tell me what you need to say." I snapped after a whole minute of just standing there. Yes, I counted.

"Fight... Kong Xue'er is in the clinic... I-" I pinched the bridge of my nose as I felt the last string of my patience snapping and becoming nothing.
"W-what?!" I demanded.
