“So… how have you been?” Ate Jem broke the silence. Marcus already returned from the washroom and he also looked surprised when he saw the two. Actually, Myro and ate Jem were also surprised to see that I was with Marcus. So basically, we’re all surprised at the moment.

We’re all occupying a table good for four. Ate Jem chose the table for us so I transferred. Myro interjected that they should occupy another table but ate Jem was adamant to have me sit with them. Her gaze actually never left me.

I gave her a small smile. “I-I am good. How about you? I felt kinda distant.

We were supposed to see each other on Kent’s wedding day. They purposely set that day as our reunion para raw madamayan nila ako. I didn’t exactly know what they meant by then kasi in the first place, they have no idea about my feelings for Kent.

Anyway, I congratulated her because I noticed a wedding ring in her ring finger. The design is the same with what Myro was wearing. So obviously, they’re already married.

Ate Jem chuckled. “Yeah, uh… thanks, Jane. We’re married for almost more than two years now and our baby’s almost two na rin.”

My eyes widened a fragment and my lips formed to ‘o’. Grabe! May anak na siya! At matagal-tagal na siyang kasal! I am so amazed but yet, I felt quite disappointed with myself.

Ate Jem took her phone out from her Chanel bag then showed me her baby girl’s pictures.

“Her name’s Brylee. She’s so adorable. Mama was her first word and she learned to walk on her own at one year, 1 month and three days old.” She chuckled. I smiled. Ganun na ata talaga kapag nanay na. You pay attention to the littlest details your young one does. “She loves potatoes. Anything that is made of potatoes,” she continued. I looked at her. Her eyes show how happy she is. I am happy for her.

“Sinong nag-aalaga sa kanya ngayon?” tanong ko.

“She’s with daddy and mommy in the Philippines. They actually told us to have this vacation kasi Myro got so busy with work these past few months.

“And here are some of our wedding photos,” aniya at nag-open siya ng isang album. Nagsimula niyang i-swipe pakaliwa ang phone niya.
