I couldn't find the right words that would describe how distrustful my parents were. They just suddenly provided a driver that would pick me to and fro school for the day. What the fuck?
"Mom, what do you think of me? A child?" I can't help thinking about Jane. I left him the other night in my condo. She's all alone. She needs my company. I badly want to see her. I need to go home.
"KD, please, pagbigyan mo muna ang daddy mo. Isang araw lang naman 'to, anak. We will return your car soon," my mom replied. She's more like pleading.
"Hindi ko na po kayo maintindihan. What's the point? You treat me like I am grounded!" I've never been grounded my whole life. I've been an obedient son. They wanted me to heed to what they want, then so be it. But when it comes to Jane, I wouldn't even have to think twice to defy them because they don't make sense when it comes to her at all.
"You are, Kent Davis!" My dad's voice echoed inside the living room. I am not in talking terms to him since the engagement happened. If not because of my mom, ni hindi ko na gugustuhing umuwi sa bahay na 'to.
"Why, dad? What is it this time?" I matched the intensity of his stare. He was thinking that I was rebelling, then so be it. But like what I said, this isn't my way of rebellion. It is way more than this and he definitely wouldn't like it kung ako ang nagrebelde.
"Hangga't hindi ka tumitino, mangyayari ang mga ayaw mo."
What the heck?
"What? I already did what you wanted. Ano pa ba ang gusto niyong gawin ko?"
"Stay away from Jane."
Fuck! No! "You know I can't do that."
"We heard she's staying in your condo."
Damn, Einah!
"For her convenience. Anong mali dun? I am helping her-"
"Shut up, Kent! That is not help! You're doing that because you love her!"
"I am not doing that because I love her. I am doing it because she's a family!"
"Paalisin mo siya sa condo mo, Kent. I am warning you!" he said then he stormed out of the room. He didn't wait for me to fire back. Diyan siya magaling e. Ang magwalk out.
"Si Jane mo kasama si Marcus. Wala lang. Share ko lang. Baka gusto mong malaman," Myro told me over the phone.
Holy shit! Marcus na naman!
I phoned her to know her whereabouts. When she told me that she's in McDonald's, wala na akong pakialam sa iisipin ng parents ko. My mind blocked out. I fumed out of our house. I even frightened manong Totoy in order to get one of our family's cars.
My blood boiled when I saw her with Marcus in the parking space of the store. I am raging mad to Marcus. But I am way madder to myself. I couldn't stay in place kung nasaan si Jane but he's able to do that anytime. This frustrates me so much. Reality hits me right on the face that I am powerless shit. That I couldn't yet protect the woman I love.
"Jane," I said then I snaked my arm around her waist. I was looking at Marcus with so much blaze. He's returning it with the same intensity.
"Let's go, Jane." Please, baby. Come with me. I miss you so much and I am so sorry. Promise, I will make it up to you.
Halos mapasuntok ako sa ere when she told Marcus that she will be coming with me. But my anger fumed when Marcus grabbed my baby's arm. Fuck this guy!
