Make Me Nervous

Early February 2021

I quickly got out my phone and ran up to place it in front of the mirrors, standing on the floor in front of the mirrors before I ran back and stood beside Niki, squinting my eyes to see if we were in frame.

"Is it filming?" Niki questioned and I just nodded in reply, "do you think we should try to run it over?"

"Just marking at first," I nodded at him, "I don't think we should try the lifts."

For our upcoming fan meeting Niki and I had been given a unit stage together, which we were going to choreograph ourselves. We had decided that since both of us have experience in ballet and modern dance, we would try and do something with that. Which also meant we had been more out of the house than the other boys, as we had been given an extra unit stage compared to the others.

"First marking and then warm up," Niki nodded in agreement and began counting as we marked our dance together.

"That's it!" I happily exclaimed as we finished it together, making Niki let out a small laugh at me, "so... warm up."

"I don't really feel like it," he sighed before beginning to jog his way back and forth in the practice room.

"Tell me about it," I nodded in agreement before beginning to jump my way around, doing a few flips here and there, "but no injuries..."

"Hmm... yeah," he sighed before running voer and grabbing his water bottle, "I'm just gonna run and fill this up."

"Can you fill up mine as well?" I questioned as I kicked up to a handstand against one of teh walls. It was one thing I really had wnated to learn lately. I really wanted to be able to master the handstand before February was over.

"Of course," Niki grinned before grabbing my water bottle as well.

"I knew I was the favorite!" I yelled after him as he rushed out of them.

"Whatever you say!" he yelled back in return, making me let out a small laugh before kicking down from the handstand.

I silently went over the dance a few times as I tried to continue on the choreography we had made. Once the door opened again I immediately stopped dancing.

"I think I figured out how to end it properly, Niki~" I happily cooed as I turned to the door and immediately dropped the smile on my face, "you're already free from school?" I questioned Jungwon in confusion, as he just stood there in his uniform with his bag over his shoulder.

It had been one thing that was nice about me returning to getting online classes once more, at my old high school. It gave Niki and I time to rehearse in the morning and till lunch until we had to rehearse in our other units as well.

"It's already 12," Jungwon excused and dropped his bag down by the door before pulling off his blazer and running his hand through his hair, that had gotten a lot longer lately.

"Oh wow..." I muttered to myself and quickly turned my back to him, trying to slowly gather myself again as I fanned my red face, "you didn't meet Niki on your way, did you?"

"I think I saw him speaking with Sungdeuk-nim," he spoke making me just hum as I nodded.

"Great... he'll definitely be gone for an hour," I sighed to myself and dragged my hands over my face.

"Hmm... I don't mind," Jungwon excused as he walked up and wrapped his arms around me from behind, "now... tell me, was it me you said 'wow' to?" he let out a small laugh.

"Shut up," I sighed before dropping my head down as he continued to hold onto his small chuckle.

"You think I'm that good looking?" he questioned and just by his tone of voice I could hear his self-satisfied smirk.
