Chapter 38

At the beginning of the new year I had been allowed to release a song I had written and composed myself, which was quite exciting for me. I had gone to the company early today to go over the things that would be happening and how things will be if I wanted to release my own song on our SoundCloud. Then there was some talk about, depending on how many listens the song got within the first 24 hours, then they would want to shoot a music video for the song. It felt quite weird to be doing these things without the boys, but they had been extremely supportive of me releasing this song. Especially Sunoo and Jake had been ecstatic when I had mentioned it in passing one day, they had insisted on reading the lyrics, and then begging me to sing the song for them. For a small reference they had been begging me to sing just a snippet of the song, for three days straight, before I had given in and sung a small bit.

I got out of the car and thanked the driver before walking up to the front door for the dorm. I quickly got inside, due to it being extremely cold outside. It was oddly silent once I had entered the dorm, it immediately seemed suspicious. I quickly rushed to the bedroom after having gotten out of my boots and jacket. Sure enough, all the boys sat huddled together in Niki's bunk, whilst being bended in over something.

"No, no. It should go there," Jungwon pointed to whatever they were bent over.

"Uh... boys?" I called out making all of them snap up their heads to me, and widen their eyes, before they quickly scattered to hide whatever it was they were doing.

"Bubs... you're home," Sunghoon stated with an awkward smile.

"Yeah... I told you I would be home around lunch time," I reminded them.

"It's already that late?" Jay widened his eyes and looked at his watch just to widen his eyes even more, if it was possible, "I should go make lunch then. Why don't you help me?"

"Quick question then," I spoke up and the boys just all looked at me with faces that indicated they were indeed trying to hide something for me, "what are you hiding?"

"Hiding?"Jake questioned in disbelief as he let out a snort, "we're not hiding anything."

"Yes you are," I pointed out to him, "you can't lie, and you know that."

"Someone else speak," Jake commented in a panicky voice as he desperately looked to the boys.

"They're just helping me with... homework?"Niki spoke up as he looked at the boys with uncertainity.

"Yeah, homework. We're helping Niki with his homework," Heeseung nodded as the other boys all quickly nodded with him as well.

"I see..." I nodded at them whilst looking at them skeptically.

"So, lets go make lunch, yeah?" Jay stated and quickly stood up and pushed me out of the room and out in the kitchen, where we began making lunch for the boys, together.

"Jay?" I carefully asked and he hummed as I stood and cut the vegetables, "what are the boys doing?"

"Helping Niki with his homework," he replied to me, making me sigh as I knew it wasn't true.

I continued to help making lunch before the boys all slowly began to move out into the kitchen.

"Ji~"Jungwon cooed out and waddled over to me and wrapped his arms around me from behind and placed his chin on my shoulder.

"Wonie~" I cooed in the same tone to mimick him in a mocking way.

"Don't tease me," he complained to me in a whiny voice.

"Why are you suddenly so clingy?" I let out a small laugh at him.

"I really liked your song," he muttered as I began moving the food over on the table.

"Thank you," I smiled softly before letting out a small laugh, "you're making it a bit hard for me to move around."

"Sorry," he muttered before moving over and sitting down at the dinning table with the other boys, as Jay and I continued to move the food over on the table before we sat down ourselves.

We barely even got to eat before Sunoo loudly cleared his throat and everyone look to him, especially the boys were smiling widely as Sunoo got out a piece of folded paper and looked at me with a smug smile.

"No!" I complained loudly before pulling my knees up to my chest and hugged them tightly as I looked at Sunoo with an uncomfortable look.

"Dear Jiyeon-ie," Sunoo started reading making him me whine at him in complaints, as the other boys just let out small laughs, "today you released your first solo song. We're proud. Even though you didn't let us hear barely anything from the song in the past week, where we've known about the release. Since you left this morning we've listened to your song a total of 38 times, yes we did count. We'd rather write a letter to you, than hold a small celebration, as we know how you dislike getting attention projected onto you like that. We're really proud of you for doing this, and we hope you'll continue to write and compose such good songs, we're with you all the way and will continue to support you no matter what song you decide to release. We love you."

"Ah, thank you," I cooed at them as all the boys happily clapped along with me, before Sunoo reached over and handed me the letter. They had not only written the small text but had overly decorated it with stickers and small drawings, making me let out a small laugh before folding it together and laying it beside my plate, "you really like the song?"

"Our square blanks bloom
Bloom a rose with a thumb~" Heeseung happily sang making me let out a small laugh.

"I feel bloom
I feel bloom
I feel boom," Jake and Sunghoon happily cooed toghether whilst shaking their shoulders against one another, making even more of us laugh at them.

"Didn't some fans say that it was a song to Jungwon?" Niki spoke up and I looked over at him in confusion, "they said she sang Jungwon in the song?"

"Ah... Garden," I pointed out to him and he nodded, "I didn't think about that beforehand actually..." I realized in shock.

"But also because you repeat the color blue so many times, I think," Jay pointed out and I nodded in agreement.

"The fans is gonna find out soon then," Sunoo commented with a shrug and I quickly shared a glance with Jungwon before we both let out a small laugh at the boys.

We happily ate all together before everyone went to each their own. I had quickly rushed into the bedroom and gotten out my notebook to write some more.

"Ji," Jungwon called out as he walked into the bedroom and climbed up beside me in my bunk.

"Pretty Boy," I called out in the same manner once again, like we had done in the kitchen.

"Is it true that the song is for me?" he questioned with a small smile at me.

"I'd rather say, you were an inspiration to the song," I pointed out to him and he nodded at me with a wide smile.

"Good, cause I really like it," he smiled widely at me, "like a lot."

"That's good, I'm happy to hear that," I nodded at him.

"Can we... can we write a song together and release it as well?" he carefully asked and I hummed in agreement, "really?"

"I'd love to," I nodded at him with a small smile, making him grin widely at me, before quickly leaning down and pecking my lips.
