"Today on Sunoo's curiousity lab, we have... drumroll please..." Sunoo started as he began drumming his hands on the table, "the one who's worst at speaking Korean! Sunny!"
"Ahaha, I'm gonna smother you," I hissed as I sat down in the chair next to him, his smile not faltering once.
"Yes, if you were big or strong enough," Sunoo nodded before turning back to the camera, "so today we're doing the second episode of Sunoo's Curiosity Lab. A little teaser of today I can say that we will be speaking about the... Danish school system, Jiyeon's training schedule back in Denmark, I-Land entry test and, what most people love to ask her about... Jungwon."
"Yay," I silently cooed making Sunoo let out a small laugh at me.
"Jumping straight ahead, explain the Danish school system so we understand what is going on over there," he stated and I nodded.
"So, the actual system is different from what I did," I explained and he just nodded, "but in Denmark we have kindergarten class till 9th grade in the same school. In my school we had two classes of each grade, so when we were going to start in 6th grade they would mix up the two classes and we'll get new classes. Of course this is different from school to school and the side of it. But usually you go to school with the same people up until 9th grade."
"Ah, that's almost like Jake hyung," Sunoo spoke and I nodded.
"Then... you go on to high school which is 11th to 13th grade," I continued.
"What about 10th?" Sunoo frowned at me.
"Ah... it's an option," I explained, "in Denmark 10th grade is more of a personal developing year. So you can either choose to go to these 10th grade centers, where you just refresh everything you've learnt up until then, or you can go on thsi sort of boarding school which specializes in something specific. There's some boarding schools that focus on dyslexic people, or... dance... soccer... art... languages, and such and such. You can literally find a boarding school for any interest."
"Wah, that's so cool," he cooed at me and I nodded in agreement.
"My brother actually went to one last school year," I explained, "he went to one that focused on gymnastics, and he absolutely loved it. He said that you become so much more independent and develop yourself as a person so much at those schools, it's really great."
"I wish we had that too," Sunoo pouted.
"There actually is one," I stated and he frowned at me, "back in... a few years ago, there was some rich Korean man... mr. Oh, who visited Denmark to find out why we were so happy. He discovered these boarding schools and established the first one here in Korea. I don't know more though, I just know it was created."
"But what is after 10th grade?"
"Right, then we have high school. Usually it's 11th to 13th grade, some are just 11th and 12th grade, depending on what education you choose. Of course the one that is three years give you more opportunities than the one that is two. After High school you of course choose whether or not you want to continue educating yourself at an univeristy or such," I quickly explained.
"But your schooling was different," Sunoo stated and I nodded at him, "explain."
"So... in Denmark we have this thing called the Royal Ballet School, and it has three departments around the country. Either in Aarhus, Odense or Copenhagen. So because of my rhythmic gymnastic background I also took some ballet classes already and some other dance classes. The school only takes in students under 6th grade, so when I was in 5th grade I begged my mom to go to an audition. I went, and I got accepted immediately. So first I moved in on their Aarhus school, where I only stayed for a semester of 5th grade, the second semester of 5th grade I was moved to the Odense school, and once I started 6th grade I was moved to the Copenhagen school... so, I did live at the school from 5th to my first semester of 9th grade, after that I became a trainee and the rest you already know... but the thing that is about the Ballet School is... If I didn't become a trainee and passed my 9th grade exams and dance exams of that year I could continue to actually get a ballet education, which would take another three years, and after those I would've been a professional ballet dancer."
