Summer 2022

"Come on! Don't be a whimp!" I let out a laugh as I continued to pull on Jungwon's arm, in hopes of getting him down to the water.

"Listen to her Won! Don't be a whimp!" his sister laughed along as she watched how Jungwon desperately dug his heels into the sand of the beach and eagerly shook his head, butt sticking out as he stood bent over because I had a tight grip on his hands.

Since we got a week off over the summer his family had not hesitated even once to invite the two of us on a small trip to a smaller beach town. So far we've had had lot of fun, but right now I was desperately struggling in dragging him down towards the water.

"Just the feet!" I exclaimed at him.

"Never!" he screeched back, earning more laughter from his family that just watched us.

"My god, you're a pain in the ass right now," I commented.

"Love you too," he cooed.

"Then come on!" I eagerly pulled on his arm.

"No!" he whined out.

"Jiyeon-ah!" his sister called out and I looked over at her, making her a motion with her hands, gesturing for me to just let go of him. A small smile grew on my face before I looked back to Jungwon.

I quickly yanked on his hands making him pull back even more, and when he did I immediately let go, making him fall back with enough force that he rolled over his back and ended flat on his stomach in the sand. I wish someone would've filmed it, but since all of us, except Jungwon, was too busy laughing over how he looked no one had filmed anything.

"Run sweetie! Run!" his grandma called out, making me look over at Jungwon as he had stood up and began ruffling teh sand out of his hair as he just stared at me.

My eyes immediately widened and I scrambled to begin running over the sand. Sand was simply impossible to run in, so it was a weird combination of actually running and catching myself from falling. Multiple times.

"Got'cha!" a voice exclaimed as I was picked up from behind and hauled up in the air.

"Set me down!" I exclaimed as I eagerly tried to get down, before I was pulled into a tight embrace by Jungwon as he laid his chin on my shoulder, "oh oh."

"How about we quit playing now, and you pay for this later?" he muttered, "we don't want to be late for the market. Before it closes."

"What exactly do you mean when you say I have to pay?" I questioned with squinted eyes as I turned my head to look at him.

"I think you already know," he simply smiled making me frown at him before he grabbed onto my hand and spinned me around before pulling me back over to his family, "I think we should go to the market now, if we want to make it before it closes."

They all stared at us in suspicion before just agreeing and showing the way to the market.

"You know... you're more than welcome to stay in my room for the night if you'd like," his sister whispered as she trailed back to me as we all walked together.

"I think I might need that," I nodded at her making her grin widely before she immediately began gushing.

"We can watch movies... we should buy loads of snacks at the market and us 10 pounds fatter tonight," she gasped at me, "and we'll find all the blankets we can and just dit like two small burritos."

"That sounds amazing!" I gasped at her.

"And it won't be happening," Jungwon stated and walked in between his sister and I.
