ITZY's Yuna Speaks Up About the Jiyeon and Taehee Controversy
In a recent live ITZY's Yuna spoke of the time she worked with both Choi Jiyeon and Bang Taehee for their performance for KCon:tact this year. A thing she made sure to mention was the sympathy she felt for Enhypen's Choi Jiyeon.
"I do really want to say I feel bad for Jiyeon. When we first got together as a group we were told to be aware of her anxiety disorder and what to do when it happened. Her anxiety actually was the reason we had to rehearse at the HYBE building, so a staff member closer to her would be near."
Yuna then later went on to explain that their practices hadn't all been as fun as it was shown in their dance practice for 'Mago'. On the other hand she admitted that there had been quite a tension.
"Uhm... I think for all of us girls it was clear that there was quite a lot of tension between the two girls. They didn't have any fights or arguments when we were around, but I did hear one of the girls degrade the more bubbly one before a practice... before I let my presence be known... uh yeah, I was quite observant of the anxiety that practice."

"So now Yuna sunbaenim is at least also standing up for you," Sunoo reminded as he looked up from his phone and I just let out a small hum at him.
"But she didn't say who was the most bubbly one," I reminded him.
"I think she hinted at it a lot," he assured, "saying the bubbly one had anxiety and earlier explaining your anxiety... I think people will find out quite easily."
"But-" I started.
"Sunny..." Sunoo sighed at me making me look to him once again, "things are beginning to resolve themselves... things will be alright."
Soon enough loud pitter patter down towards the living room echoed out through the dorm.
"I saw it! I saw it!" Sunghoon happily cooed as he slid into the living room, "things are getting better!"
"It was just... it was just an article..." I frowned at him.
"No, no, no, not the one with Yuna sunbaenim," he shook his head at me, "the one with your old school and classmates."
"Hm?" I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Some girl... Sunmi I think, posted a video of Taehee harrassing you at school," Sunghoon stated making me widen my eyes at him, "and you can clearly see her face and hear your voice when you ask her to stop."
"Wait... really?" Sunoo questioned in shock and Sunghoon just nodded at him.
"The tables are starting to turn. People wrote all sorts of comments about feeling bad for being mad at you," Sunghoon stated and gestured to me.
"I don't like this," I muttered and sunk further into the couch.
"Why? This is great!" Sunghoon happily exclaimed at me with a small laugh.
"Because then people will begin being mean towards Taehee," I admitted making his smile drop immediately.
"Niki was right," Sunoo realized making me look towards him, "you'd really rather have everyone be mad at you for something you didn't do, than you want people mad at her for something she clearly did do."
"Ji~" Jungwon cooed out from the bedroom door making me look to him. He immediately waved me over towards him.
"Why?" I questioned with a small frown.
"Just... come," he urged and I hesitantly stood up before walking over to him.
He softly grabbed my hand and pulled me into the bedroom after him. I looked at him weirdly as he just sat down on his bunk and patted the spot beside him.
"I saw," he stated making me just hum at him, "the video... I saw it."
"Okay..." I slowly trailed off.
"Do you know what video I'm talking about?" he questioned.
"Hoon told me... but I don't know what incident it is that has been filmed," I admitted making him let out a small sigh at me.
"When thinking... when thinking back on anything she has said to you... is there any questions you have?" Jungwon questioned and I went silent as he moved my hand over into the hold of both his hands, "just ask."
"Is it true what she said about... when she said you had told her that you wish that it was her that was in the group and not me?" I questioned him, hesitantly glancing over at him.
"Did she really tell you that?" he questioned and I silently nodded, "what else did she say?"
"That you wish you had never met me," I shrugged, "and... after we had gone public she said you had told her you would never want or be able to love someone like me."
As I looked over at Jungwon he was looking down at the floor with widened eyes. He almost seemed panicked by what I had revealed.
"Is it true?" I questioned him and he immediately shook his heaad, "Jungwon-ah... tell me the truth."
"I never said those things," he shook his head again as he looked up at me, "I would never dream of it."
"So... do you love me?" I questioned him and he just stared at me for a minute in shock. I had asked him that question before, but this time I was seriously wanting a truthful answer from him.
"You have no idea," he sighed making me frown, "you have absolutely no idea of how much I love you... please don't ever question that."
"Really?" I questioned him and he just nodded.
"Don't ever question or wonder about how much I love you, because it's mostly likely more than you can imagine," he softly patted my hand, "and I promise... no matter how bad you might feel that this is at the moment, everything will be alright and this whole ordeal will be forgotten in less than a year. It will be like this never happened."
And I guess in a way he was right. Despite the big load of anxiety I had to live through in the summer months I guess it was forgotten fairly quickly after that.
