The girls brought the houses down the road, no further than a 5 minute walk. Ellis moved to Saracens and Ben moved to London Irish Club. Ben was adamant he was not moving to Saracens, he was reluctant to move from the tigers as it was. The girls both moved down to Saracens, even though me and Charly aren't playing we are helping coach. Luckily with my position I could still practice kicking it never went down well with everyone but the midwife said it would do no harm. My spuds are going to come out knowing how to kick a rugby ball!
We planned it so they moved in on the same day, making it easier with hiring a van and moving everything, since they had to bring everything with them. No one would let me or Charly lift a finger "I'm not disabled" I screamed and stomped my feet at them quite a few times and all Owen would ever mutter is "bloody hormones" which everyone else laughed at.
More times than not, the girls came round mine and Owen went to either Ben's or Ellis. It wasnt a daily thing but nearly every other day since we didnt do much else. Charly was slowly getting bigger but I seemed to expand like a balloon. I was going for scans every few weeks because there was two, Charly was having an easy life with the pregnancy but I seemed to eat everything in sight.
Ollie stuck to me like glue, he sometimes refused to go to school and he wanted to be with "his baby brother" I really hope there is one boy otherwise I think Ollie would have a melt down.
Owen got very excited about the babies and we went on a spending spree once we hit the 12 week mark. We had boxes of stuff piling up in the garage. Me and the girls went shopping for nursery plans, the boys were at training and Ollie was at school so it was just us girls and Toby. We drove to the nearest B&Q for the first pit stop of the day. Paint, what colour? Owen of course wanted a rugby themed room but I put a stop to it.
"I'm thinking yellow" Charly found a pastel yellow paint, "you could make it Winnie the Pooh themed" she loved that idea. I knew my dream nursery in my head, I just had to find the right colour. I examined every paint they had and the one I wanted was out of stock. Shock. As we went to checkout I caught them restocking the shelves, I walked, well waddled over and found the perfect paint sat there.
The second stop was of course, coffee, but after that was dunelm. There was the cutest rugs and paintings. I found a teddy bear face designed rug, which I instantly fell in love with. Abbi was of course, getting broody and wanted to design the nursery all over again. Toby slept all the car journeys only stirred when we moved him.
Wall stickers were the hardest choice, I wanted names above cots but we dont know what they are nevermind what we will call them. Charly found the cutest winnie the pooh wall stickers and height chart. I couldn't decide between safari animals or just plain clouds. The safari animals appealed more, but I decided to get both just in case.
Finally, baby clothes! Of course when the three of us shopping together was a nightmare. We went for the unisex clothes just incase, Charly was already convinced she is having a little girl. She got a few little dresses and cute pink babygrows. "One of us will have a girl" Charly laughed. "Can you imagine if it was all boys? How many more boys do we need" I laughed.
We walked out the last shop with lots of bags, I thought back to my little citreon. There would be no chance all this would have fit in there. We walked towards the car, something felt wrong I don't know what. "Amelia, your car has got a dent" my heart skipped a beat. I examined the dent, it wasn't huge. "Oh my I am so sorry, i caught your car on the way out" my heart sank.
"Oh it's only you" the voice caused my body to shiver. The girls had no idea who it was. "That's fine, can you provide us details of your insurance?" Charly asked politely. The woman cackled "no chance, I'm sure she can afford to pay for it now shes got her big fancy rugby husband" "listen lady, you will be paying for this to get sorted" Abbi got very fired up. I turned around facing everyone.
"Oh I see you've got yourself deep in this one, falling pregnant so he doesnt leave you" my body boiled "sorry girls, you must not know my Son, Harry" both the girls fists balled. "Right, either leave or I'm calling the police" I shouted, she laughed. "You're the one that always does the running so why dont you leave" somehow we ended up in a stand off match.
"Let's just go" I pulled the girls arms, "no chance this lady doesnt know who shes messing with" Abbi being the stubborn one. "Leave on your own will before I show you who you're messing with" of course, we knew exactly where Harry got his toxic traits from.
She turned and left laughing. The girls were fired up and I just wanted to cry. Stupid pregnancy hormones. We got back to Charlys and none of the boys were here. Thank goodness.
An unknown number rang, I shown the girls and they told me to answer. "Hey baby girl, I heard your car got hit"
