I turned to the body. "You cant marry her, she will ruin your life" their finger pointed at Owen's. I looked at my mother, who was frozen. I hoped she would get up and say something by now, but as per usual she never has my back. I was froze on the spot too. "She is abusive, aggressive and a manipulative bitch" I couldnt believe him, I honestly couldn't. My Dad got up out of his seat, after my mother tried to hold him back. "You dont deserve to be happy! You always play the victim" He screamed. My father, reached him, trying to push him out the door. Some of the rugby boys and my brothers followed my dad. "Dont do it! She is a vile excuse of a woman" He screamed, as the lads pushed him out the venue.
"Shall we continue?" The marriage officiant asked who seemed to now be annoyed. Owen didnt wait a second before nodding. He held my hand and squeezed it. He carried on, but I couldnt help, but think I do ruin everyones lives. Will I ruin Owen's? Am I making the right decision? I quickly wiped the tear that escaped my eye. I stared at the marriage officiant, as he continued the ceremony. I felt Owen keep looking at me with a grin on his face. He squeezed my hand, I mirrored his grin. But I still had the words of the uninvited guest in my head. "I pronounce you Husband and Wife, you may kiss the bride" the whole room cheered as Owen wrapped his arm round my waist. Our lips locked and it was like the first time we shared a kiss all over again.
Everyone left the room, leaving me and Owen. As he just held me close. "I love you Mrs Farrell" my stomach errupted in butterflies. "I love you too Mr Farrell" we shared one last kiss before Owen lead me down the aisle, as the photographer was taking every possible photo she could. I hope she hasnt got a picture of my double chin. I couldnt believe I was officially Mrs Farrell. Before we got to the end, Owen lifted me up Bridal style, as I wrapped my arms around his neck. Everyone was stood outside cheering, throwing confetti everywhere.
We took all the family photos, I couldnt wait to take the heels off already. Good job I had flat shoes ready for me. Of course Owen's strong arm helped me stay upright. We headed to the car which only took us a few miles out but it was a moment to breath. "Amelia, who was that?" I ran my finger around the prosecco glass. "My mums ex boyfriend...." an eery silence filled the car. "Dont worry, I know what he said wasnt true! I will always love you Amelia Rose Farrell" I leant in to him "I will always love you too Owen Andrew Farrell" we shared a passionate kiss before the car stopped and already everyone was already here.
"Now let's go and get absolutely hammered Mrs Farrell" Owen stepped out the car held his hand out to me as I seen the wedding band shine off his finger, I couldn't be happier. As soon as we stepped out the car, Oliver came running up to us. Of course his shirt was now all untucked and his tie was loose. "Amelia, do we have the same last name now?" I looked between Oliver and Owen and both their faces mirrored each others "yes Ollie I do" he reached over Owen trying to hug me, but I spotted the muddy shoes already so not a chance am I getting mud on the dress yet. Owen caught me looking at the shoes and immediately put Oliver down and brushed his suit off leaving us both laughing and Oliver was not happy.
We walked into the room and it was filled with cheers. We were immediately handed a glass of prosecco. "Heres to getting absolutely wasted" Owen cheered and raised his glass, which everyone else mirrored. Of course the girls were the first ones to come up to us. Owen kissed me on the cheek "best do the rounds" I nodded. "Are you okay?" I nodded but the girls pulled me towards the bathroom.
"What the hell happened with your old step dad?" I shrugged "just typical, he ruined my life by hitting me and mentally putting me down, but some how he always seems to come back and my mother yet again did nothing" I held back the tears. "I didnt even want her here, but Owen told me I had to" i slammed my hands on the sink. "Let's just go get absolutely slaughtered, Abbi can look after Oliver" Charly laughed. "Yes of course! Not like I can drink anyway" she laughed. Moments later, I seen my mother leave the cubicle looking puffy eyed, my body boiled with anger and I clenched my fists. The girls quickly dragged me out bathroom.
We rejoined the party and the drinks started flowing. "Speech time" Owen's best man, James started. Owen immediately put his head in his hands. We were all sat at our tables, the head table included obviously me and Owen and our parents and Ollie. Ollie insisted he sat between me and Owen but Owen still kept his hand on my shoulder behind Ollie's chair. James started telling embarrassing stories about Owen. But he summed it up with how much he was glad he met Owen. Everyone cheered at the end of James speech including Ollie "woo go uncle Jammie" which made everyone laugh.
The girls did a speech, which consisted of my embarrassing stories and threatening Owen if he ever hurt me they would kill him. Abbi was glowing and her bump was slightly showing. Charly looked amazing too, the dress complimented her strawberry blonde hair.
"My turn for a speech" he shared a smirk with me.
