"Do you want to come in for coffee?" I asked hopeful, after we arrived outside my house. Hoping I remembered to tidy it before I left. He nodded and we both got out the car too in sync it was weird.

He sat on my couch, getting way too comfortable as I tidied a little bit around him! He grabbed my arm and lead me to the couch "Just sit down! I need to ask you something" I nodded nervously and sat next to him. He was slouched leaning on the edge. I sat legs crossed facing him. I could get used to him sat on my couch.

"So as you know, the final of the six nations is next week and were playing Ireland, which my Dad coaches. My mum is coming over with him from Dublin" of course I knew that already I think he forgets I follow Rugby as much as be does. "I've got you a ticket in our family box if you would like to come?" I was shocked "Of course I would" as I wrapped my arms round him and hugged him without even thinking about it. Weve never hugged before and it was better than I ever thought it would be. He was a little taken back, but then he wrapped his muscular arms around me. How warm he was, how I could stay here forever. His arms felt safe. I moved my head onto his shoulder. I pulled back before I got way too comfortable.

We were face to face, as I stared into his sparkling eyes. This was like a movie, I really wanted to lean in. But nope I couldnt I quickly looked down and played with my hands. "Does this mean i have to meet your family? I have met your mum from when she picked up Oliver a few times which is very rare obviously because they live in Dublin" i started to ramble as I got even more nervous. "Well, its not just my family. It's the whole rugby teams family. I have told them I got you in, they were thrilled a lot of them have seen you play. They keep going on about how they want to meet you. They say you kick better than me but we both know that's not true" I started to heat up thinking the whole England Squad has seen me play. "Keep dreaming Farrell" I laughed.

"The only problem is it's in London" "well durhhh, that's where you play. Well we play" I mocked him as he laughed but seemed nervous "I'll drive down and get a hotel" he shrugged. "Well I dont know if I should ask this and i don't know if its a bit soon?" I gave him the look to carry on. He gulped and said "well you can always stay at my place I have in London. You dont have to if you dont want too" He looked really hopeful. I contemplated it. "I'll let you know" he nodded.

I really didnt know what to do. "I have a spare bedroom you know so it wont be topping and tailing with me" he laughed as I laughed after him. "You can drive down with me the night before and then you can get set up in the spare room?" I nodded way too quickly and enthusiastically. I dont think I should be agreeing to this but his face lit up like a kid in a candy shop so I definitely couldnt say no "By the way well be going out drinking after too, celebrate a win or a loss. But hopefully a win" I nodded and agreed. Was I too excited to spend the weekend with Owen? Looking at the expression on his face I wasnt the one too excited. He got up hugged me and left. I was left overthinking, again!!!

He knew about my ex well the cheating and leaving me but not the rest and I knew about his and we both weren't ready for something more. I'm damaged goods anyway he deserves someone better than me. Someone more mentally stable. It was too soon for him and I was too used to being on my own. So Owen the best friend will have to do for now. Even though the flirty banter, the nearly kissing and the hugs that last too long showed he was becoming more than a friend and I didnt want to stop it. We had too many of these moments when Oliver was around. I didnt want to ruin the relationship I had with Owen or Oliver.

This cant be too bad can it? What's the worst that could happen? Alcohol and a gorgeous man under one roof, nothing bad could happen right?
