After the antics of earlier died down, my brothers, sister and dad left. Leaving me Owen and the girls. They all hugged and Owen invited them down to London whenever they wanted. I know I'm going to regret that. Ben and Ellis came round. This was the last night I would stay in this house. Luckily, when I put the house on the market it was pretty much sold for above the asking price pretty quick.
We all had drinks and packed the last few bits into Owen's car ready for our journey tomorrow. Once everything was packed we all sat in the garden, enjoying the weather. "I think we should play never have I ever, relive our youth" Ellis laughed as everyone cheered. Owen brought out a bottle of vodka and sourz. This was going to get messy very quickly.
We all started to feel very drunk, I even took a stumble. "I'm going to miss you guys" it was my turn to get soppy. The girls hugged me "well see you on the pitch" Abbi laughed "defintely, just be prepared to be on the loosing side" Charly laughed. "At least I could be there for every game" Owen kissed my forehead. "God will you two just get married and have very cute babies" Ellis shouted. I widened my eyes "one day no rush" Owen shrugged. Wow, I had no words. The vodka burned my throat. The night went on with snide comments from the girls about me and Owen growing old together and having a cute little family. But I ignored them all.
The next morning, my head hurt. Owen was sprawled over the bed. I nudged him and he just groaned. "Wake up! Its 1pm" he shot out of bed. "Oh crap, I need to get Oliver at 3pm. Holly's going to kill me" we both got up and got ready. We went down stairs to find Abbi and Ben curled up on the sofa. So I screamed "MORNING" They groaned, Charly and Ellis walked down the stairs. "Its moving day" I was more excited than I should be, I think I am ready to leave this life behind.
Everyone got ready and I said my goodbyes to the girls. It got a little bit emotional. "Were not dying" Charly laughed. "Well be in London more times than you think" Abbi added. I nodded and got in Owen's car. I wiped away my tears. Owen said goodbye to the girls and then the lads. "Ready to go home?" I shook my head. "Its different but it will be our home. Plus weve got to get a little man that will be happy to see you" I smiled thinking about Oliver. He was the most adorable child and if it wasnt for him I wouldn't be where I am today.
Of course I fell asleep during the car journey which Owen expects now. But when I woke up we were at Owen's place, well i should say home. I walked through the front door and was welcomed by Mama Farrell, Andy, Owen's two sisters, his brother and Oliver. "SURPRISE" They all shouted. My head still hurt from last night. There was welcome home banners around the house. They all hugged me and was glad Owen finally made it official. My belongings had already been put away, all my clothes in the walk in wardrobe. There were rose petals on the bed. I smiled at Owen's romantic touch.
I joined the others in the kitchen, Oliver was running round the garden with Owen's little brother. This started to feel like home already. My little car was sat on the drive next to Owen's big fancy car. It defintely did feel like home already and I couldnt stop the feeling. Owen wrapped his hand round my waist. "You two make a great couple, what took you so long to realise? So much for never getting with him" she laughed, I remembered the words she said before at her house. After we ate, Owen's family left to get the plane back to Dublin. Leaving me Owen and Oliver.
"Amelia, are you living here now?" I looked at Owen, hoping he would save me. Owen knelt down to Oliver's height "Ollie, you know how Mummy loves Ben and lives with Ben?" Oliver nodded at Owen. I was the only person that called him Ollie, suppose Owen's caught on to the Ollie. "Well, I love Amelia" Owen's only said he loves me once, he looked at me waiting for an approval, but some how my face didnt give him the approval he wanted, I think I was still in shock from all the events in the last 24 hours. "So, Amelia lives with me" Oliver nodded and hugged me. "Can I live here all the time too?" He asked me. "You have to ask Mummy, but you can stay here as much as you want." Oliver nodded and ran to play with his toys before bedtime.
Suddenly I've gained a new home, a new step son and a new life.
