Nerves? What Nerves?

It's been about a month since we moved in to our dream home. Everything was slowly getting into place. Today is the day of the wedding and I couldnt be more excited. But the nerves started to kick in. All the girls stayed at mine, while the guys stayed somewhere else. Meaning I also had to have Colleen, which I was a bit iffy about. Last night was kind of messy, we had a lot of champagne, I dread to know how Owen's head is this morning.

"Morning, I made breakfast!" Colleen made us all breakfast. She jumped up and down "make up artist and hair dresser be here in and hour. Then weve got 2 hours after that, to get sorted" I rolled my eyes as I stuffed more breakfast down me. All of us where sat eating breakfast round the table. "I cant believe you guys brought this, its beautiful" Abbi had already done her investigative work round the house last night. "Shall we build two houses on the either side and you guys can move in" I laughed. "Then we can move to saracens and so can Ben and Ellis" Charly was hooked on the idea. "Do you really think they would move?" I raised an eyebrow at them. They both shook their heads and frowned.

Everyone kept asking if I was nervous but I just played it off with a shrug. Of course I was freaking nervous, I'm marrying Owen Freaking Farrell. Hes going to look all perfect and I'll look like a potato in a white bin bag. I just stared at the wedding dress, I honestly dont think I can do this. I huffed. "Hair and make up are here" Lauren my sister screamed. They both set up, the bridesmaids will go first and then mum then Colleen. I sat patiently drinking a cup of tea, I'm going to have tea belly for this wedding, completely zoned out from the world. I heard voices but not words. Everyone else was bouncing around, music was blaring round the house.

The ladies did my hair and make up and wow I looked like a different person, I didnt even recognise myself. Everyone looked amazing already. "I'm here!" My Dad barged through the door. I greeted him with a huge hug "you ready to be waltzed down that aisle?" I replied with a smile. No of course I wasnt, I'd never be. This means id be officially a step mum, officially ready to start my own family. Am I really ready for this?

I ran upstairs to the toilet and just sat on the toilet, holding back tears, trying not to ruin my make up. I started to hyperventilate, I couldnt do this surely. I'm not ready for this. I'm too young and everything is going so fast. "Amelia, you okay?" My dad pushed the door slightly "you are decent arent you?" He chuckled. "Yes" I half heartedly laughed. "What's the matter?" He looked so concerned. "I'm just not ready for this!" I slammed my hands down on the sink and stared at my reflection. "You can call off the wedding if you wanted" he suggested. "No!" I screamed at myself "I need to pull myself together. I love Owen with all my heart and i couldnt leave him standing at the altar. I'm not Preston Burke!" Clearly my dad did not get the greys anatomy reference.

He rested a hand on my back "I know it's scary, god when I did it with the boys mum it was terrifying and it didnt feel right and look how that ended" he laughed "but when I married your mother, i was so nervous, your Uncle Pete had to calm me down, she is the love of my life, and yes things didnt plan out but we still are in love nearly 30 years later!" I smiled at my Dad, he is not one for emotions "Owen loves you Amelia, so does that little boy, you will look back at this day and reminisce about how it was the best yet most nerve racking day of your life" I wrapped my arms round him and another voice broke the silence "come on, nearly show time" I felt another set of arms wrapped round me. "Aww Amelia, it will be ok" my mother reassured me.

The day brightened up from then, everything was slowly falling into place. Of course, there was lots of photos in the dresses. The photographer, came to the house and started the photos from there, everything from a simple smile to photos with my dad, to photos with the girls. I looked at the smiles on everyones face and I couldnt believe how happy I was doing this.

The car pulled up to the venue, of course we didnt go church wedding! The doors opened and all I could focus on was the back of Owen's head as the song beautiful in white played. My arm was wrapped around my dads and he pulled me along the aisle as I started to freeze up. The anxiety filled my body, I concentrated on my breathing and the words of my dad "you'll be okay". I eventually reached Owen, which felt like an eternity has passed and he turned and had the biggest smile on his face with tears rolling down his face. "You look beautiful!" He whispered and I blushed, handing the flowers to Charly.

The marriage officiant started reading the normal words, I zoned out as I started at Owen. "Does anybody here have any objections to why this couple should not be wed?" The room remained silent. "With that, do you Amelia Rose Smith take the Owen Andrew Farrell to be your lawful wedded husband?" Butterflies ran through my stomach as me and Owen stood there hand in hand "I do" my words barely audible.

"Do you Owen Andrew Farrell take the Amelia Rose Smith to be your lawful wedded wife" "I do, with all my heart" I smiled at him. "Now time for the vows, Owen you first?" He nodded and cleared his throat before he was interrupted.

"Stop the wedding!"
