"Amelia" I was shook gently by a warm hand "I like him a lot" I murmured in my sleep, I was still dreaming. "AMELIA" I jumped. "Were here, home sweet home" he leaped out the car and grabbed the bags as his muscles flexed under his tight t-shirt. He lifted them without a struggle in the world. I shut the boot behind him as he left the garage and entered the house, it was unlocked how could he be that brave to leave this perfect house unlocked anyone could rob it. His mood had perked up. Hopefully the drive had calmed him down. Let's hope I didnt snore too much, I was so annoyed with myself that I fell asleep. Great so now Owen has seem my ugly sleeping face. Let's hope I didnt dribble over his seat.
I was mesmerised with how clean it was, how could a proper lads lad have such a perfect immaculate house? It looked like it hadnt been lived in. I expected beer cans, dirty clothes and dirty underwear everywhere like a typical rugby boys house. But I suppose he wasnt your typical rugby boy "I asked the housekeeper to grab some groceries, she got you a bottle of wine" my face scrunched up and my mouth opened slightly "the housekeeper?" He nodded "she looks after the house while I'm not here" only if women rugby players got paid the same as men. I would be rolling in money.
I slowly walked around the kitchen as he put the groceries away "Hi Owen, sorry I was just about to put those away" a middle aged woman appeared looking apologetic "no worries, thank you for doing it, did the money cover it?" She nodded. He handed her a little envelope "I cant take this it's too much" i presume it was money. He insisted she took it and they shared a hug. "You and your family look after me too well. Oh sorry, I didnt see you there you must be Amelia. I've heard so much about you already" I nodded as she pulled me in for a hug as Owen had a huge grin on his face. She seemed like a lovely lady. She left us in peace as she said her goodbyes. I wish I had a housekeeper. "How has she heard about me?" I narrowed my eyes at Owen and he shrugged, throwing me a cheeky smirk and headed towards the fridge.
"I think I need a drink after listening to you snore the whole way down here" he laughed. "No drinking before game day! Only after game day" i stole the beer out of his hand and he saluted me like I was his captain. We both laughed as i pushed him out the way to get to the fridge. I grabbed the grapes and made myself comfortable in front of his 60inch TV screen. My turn to get comfortable in his house, I laughed to myself like a psychopath, remembering how comfortable he was at my house.
I scrolled through Netflix deciding what to watch when I was interrupted. "Move over" I rolled my eyes and let him in as i leant on him and we put a film on. He reached his arm over me to get my grapes, I slapped his arm everytime I managed to catch him. I could hear little chuckles everytime he sneaked one past me, like a mischievous child.
"What do I wear? I brought black jeans, jumpsuit, dress, tracksuit" I sat up facing him. "Whatever you feel comfortable in" his eyes didnt move away from the TV, we watched NCIS. Such a typical man thing to say. "Dont matter I'll text your mum" he looked shocked and looked at me. "I've been texting her for months, she always asks me how trainings going and hows Oliver doing" I gave him the cheekiest look. He peered over my shoulder the text read;
Hi Mama Farrell,
Owen's being a typical male and not telling me what's best to wear. I've brought, jeans, jumpsuit or a dress.
Fortunately we have made it safely to Owen's place he hasnt killed me with his awful driving
Love A xHe raised his eyebrow "Mama Farrell really?" "it's an inside joke, because shes like a mother to me, she talks to me more than you do. When shes in Ireland she texts me and when shes here we go for coffee" he sniggered and went back to the TV. I went back to lying on him eating grapes. "What about your mum, dad, siblings. I only know about the girls?" He questioned me, I immediately froze. "I dont want to talk about it" I snapped and he didnt protest. I felt bad for snapping, but I am not that comfortable with him yet!
My phone beeped;
Hey Chicken,
Jumpsuit everytime! I'll pick you up at 12.
Love Mama Farrell xShe was so sweet and caring. I could get used to this, as long as he doesnt ask any more sensitive questions. It was like I was living a dream, his mum was perfect his house is perfect and he is perfect. I have the perfect best friend, of course he isnt a match to the girls but he will do. Could life get any better?
