Everyone met back at ours, luckily for April, the weather wasnt too bad. The sun beamed down on the garden. I was dreading this, I have no idea why. I didnt get why Owen was being so nice considering hes been an ass the last few days.

"Here's to the best fly half there could ever be! She gives me a run for my money. Two years in a row she has won the Tyrell Cup and she has won the world cup" I blushed at Owen as he began his speech. "She has been through thick and thin, but yet she still stands tall. I couldnt ask for anyone better to be by my side, supporting me in every decision and no matter what I know shell always have my back" I could hear all the cooing behind me, but suddenly no one else mattered. "So heres to Amelia" he popped the champagne and started topping up everyones glasses.

"Hes finally realised how lucky he is!" Colleen whispered in my ear "he is an ass most of the time but deep down he isnt that bad. He loves you" I just nodded at her "I cant wait for you to be a Farrell" the wedding suddenly daunted on me. I stood there sipping my champagne, zoned out. Until an arm wrapped round my waist, causing me to jump. "I love you so much Amelia!" I could smell the alcohol on his breathe already. I knew he'd be drinking at the stadium anyway! He probably shouldn't have drove.  Luckily the girls stole me away before I could even say anything!

The night went on, slowly everyone leaving. Eventually it was me, Owen, Oliver, the girls, Ben and Ellis. Oliver had fell asleep on the garden sofa, while the rest of us were in the hot tub. The drinks kept flowing, I've noticed since I've been with Owen I drink a lot more! Obviously Abbi was sober, therefore she was on Oliver duty, practice before the real thing!

"Why have you been an ass these last few days?" I confronted Owen while we both got a refill he looked shocked and angry "me be an ass? You're the one whose had their head up their ass for weeks!" I scoffed at him, I went to walk away but his grip held me back. "I've been there every step of the way for you and all you do is throw it in my face!" I turned my face up at him. At this point I could feel four pairs of eyes burning holes in mine and Owen's bodies. "I throw it in your face? What about the times you go out and leave YOUR son with me, I couldn't even go to court without him. I'm not his mother and never will be, but I'm always running him round taking him to nursery, taking him to watch your games and making sure all everything is done for him. You don't lift a finger, yet I'm the bad guy. You've been there for me? Yes you have, when it suits you! When your mates dont want you to go drinking or something. I left everything to move down here with you, yet my life revolves around looking after a child that isnt mine and making sure you can get enough training in" Owen's grip loosened and his arm dropped to his side. My eyes widened realising what I've just said.

I ran past Owen and straight up the stairs, I heard footsteps following me. "Leave her alone" I heard Abbi "No shes right I need to talk to her" Owen's voice made my stomach flip, not in a good way. "Its okay, just go down to the boys" I heard footsteps get quieter as they disappeared down the stairs. "Its only us" Charly sheepishly walked into the room, I ran up to them and just hugged them. "Its okay, he knows hes in the wrong" the girls comforted me. "I cant do this no more, I need to call off the wedding" the girls gasped. "I love Oliver to pieces but hes not my child and I'm the one left with him. I'm always second best, I'm lonely here. I have no one, I cant even count on Owen" the girls nodded. We talked for a while until I pulled myself together and made it downstairs.

"Amelia, you're right, I've been an ass. It's the only time ive managed to enjoy time with the lads without being harassed or worrying about Oliver. I'm pushing you away I know I am, I'm enjoying life and I couldnt do it without you" Owen lifted me up as I wrapped my legs round his torso. "We have to work together, at the moment it feels one sided and I feel like I'm fighting a war on my own" he nodded.

"I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you I promise!" I nodded and he kissed my forehead. "I'm sorry for this" he threw me in the hot tub. When I finally caught my breath "Farrell you're dead!" He laughed as I got out the hot tub and Rugby tackled him to the floor. "You will be sorry!" I laughed as I stood over his body. He narrowed his eyes at me. "This isnt over, but I need a drink after being floored by a girl" we both laughed.

This was the Owen I fell in love with not some grumpy old man that loves the pub!
