I grabbed two of my biggest wine glasses and cracked the bottle open. "That bad huh?" Abbi laughed. I downed the first glass of wine, not the smartest idea. Alcohol on top of alcohol is never a good idea.
I explain everything start to finish. From the housekeeper to dinner today. Her mouth just formed an "O" the whole time. "Words may help Abbi" "honestly I have none. You have to at least try" I groaned again. All I've done is groan all day. I was like a grumpy old pensioner. Why am I not happy with the best England rugby player, after me and Abbi of course, wants to be more than my best friend.
"I cant believe you did it and dont even remember! And the ex wife what is she thinking. Is she jealous that's hes moving on? Is she a control freak" I agreed, eye rolling thinking about Holly. "You need to speak to charly, she always knows what to do" before she could even finish her sentence, she rang Charly. "Be there in two minutes! I'll bring another bottle of wine looks like we need it" luckily she only lived round the corner. Of course she just barged in, like everyone does good job I dont run round my house naked. "Where is my little trouble maker?" She laughed. "In here" she ran in holding another bottle of wine. She helped her self to another glass and joined us on the couch.
The night seemed to last forever, the bottles of wine went in minutes, we just sat and talked. Mainly about Owen. "But you told him you're falling in love with him and he told you he was falling in love with you" at this point we were all lying on my bed. Of course the girls robbed some of my pyjamas as we all got comfy. "Maybe hes your person, you met for a reason. A bit like Meredith and Derek" abbi added. "Quoting greys anatomy really Abbi?" She pulled a sassy face. Maybe he was my Derek Shephard or was he just my Christina Yang? "tell me what to do Charly!!"
"Hmm difficult one, the son loves you, the family love you but the ex wife hates you" she paused "just go for it" not the answer I was looking for. "What have you got to loose? Tell her Charly" they both agreed. "To top it off I'm marked as well" I rolled my eyes as they look confused. I grabbed a make up wipe and wiped my neck. "Hes defintely marked you. That's going to take ages to go it's a good one" they both admired it like it was some trophy "Hes made you his, like when wolves imprint on each other" abbi laughed. "You guys definitely did it!" They both were in hysterics "cant believe you cant remember" they both laughed at each others comments only making them laugh harder. I scowled at them both.
"But the paparazzi and everything. I cant deal with being the new Twitter gossip" I thought of all the headlines. 'Rugby love' 'Holly's replacement' 'two fly halfs make a whole' everything ran through my head. My phone buzzed and before I could get to it, the girls read it out loud. As they giggled. They mimicked Owen's voice.
Thank you for supporting me this weekend, thank you for making the time so enjoyable and thank you for being there. I really enjoy your company, I havent been this happy in ages. I don't do gay romantic stuff. But I really think we should talk this through Ice Cream tomorrow? Just us no Oliver.
When he woke up and realised you weren't there he didnt stop crying. He loves you so much, not as much as I do though haha possibly too soon. (Sorry)
Love, your soon to be more than a best friend xxThe girls screamed in unison. I got butterflies. Maybe they're not butterflies as I ran to the bathroom and suddenly sobered up. "Not pregnant are you?" The girls giggled. "Defintely not!" I shut them down immediately. Just the alcohol.
They found this situation way funnier than they should. Its normally me giving them advice.
The girls decided to crash at mine as well all had training tomorrow. I defintely wont be on form tomorrow. Two days drinking in a row, so foolish. Two day hangover and training, what an idiot. Nearly about as foolish as the choices I'm going to have to make.
