Jisung froze when he had his hand above the doorknob. "Something is not right." He had an eerie feeling about entering, but his assumption got proven right when hearing an agonizing scream. His eyes widened and Jisung barged through the door.

"Dad, get off!" he begged him upon seeing his mother on the floor, a bruise mark on her cheek. His father turned around, giving a kick to Jisung's abdomen in response. Jisung held his hand on the place as he fell down on his knees. He picked him up by his collar, only to throw him against the sharp edge of their kitchen table. Jisung gasped for air as he felt the pain rush from his spine all the way to his ribcage, reaching his heart and lungs.

He shivered, looking down at the silver knife the man was holding. Jisung closed his eyes. Maybe it wouldn't hurt as much as he thought it would, but as the sharp weapon traced down his skin, tearing it apart, he knew one thing. That was a mistake. He widened his eyes, feeling it push through his skin, drawing a hole. How could it be possible that both of them attacked the same spot?

He held his breath when he felt the knife pierce through his skin. Jisung trembled. His entire body was vibrating as he looked down at the blood gushing out of his flesh. "Han Jisung!" Those were the last words that rung through his head.

The clicks of the handcuffs echoed through the night. "Look what you have done to our son!" Jisu yelled, punching against the now handcuffed man's chest, nails clawing at his skin, tears flowing down her face. "Ma'am, we will need you to step back," the officer instructed. Irene rushed to her. "How could? How could you?! For all these years!" Jisu screamed after the man who was now being escorted away by the officers. The sirens echoed through their neighborhood as an ambulance screeched to a stop in front of their house. The people fled out with a stretcher, brushing past the people at the scene, and darting through the door. They circled around the boy, spreading him on the stretcher with insane speed. "This is an emergency case!" they heard one of the nurses inform.

Jisu and Irene followed them outside, the youngest son holding Irene's hand. "Jisung!" she cried out to the motionless body on the stretcher. An employee walked toward them. "Please." She grabbed the man by his collar. "Save him."

 "He's my son!"

Irene pulled her back, shaking her head, tears streaming down her cheeks as well. "Please, Jisu, don't do this," she begged her. "He is going to be fine. They will save him," she whispered the last part, pulling Jisu into her embrace.

The doors swung open and a few other doctors and nurses joined. They ran through the hallways with Jisung still laying down on the stretcher, warning everyone to get out of the way. Though there was a lot of noise Jisung couldn't hear a thing. It was as if all blood rushed to his ears, creating a hollow echo followed by a ringing sounding through his ears. A nurse broke open the door to the emergency room. "Get in quickly!"

Seungmin's phone vibrated in his pocket. "Who is that?" Felix asked. "Don't know." He stared down at the number of the contact. "I'll take it real quick," he answered him, earning a nod from his boyfriend, walking into the hall. "Yes, hello?"

Seungmin's breath hitched.

The phone slipped out of his hands, crashing down on the floor, shattering the screen, the echo of the crash sounding through the space.  "Seungmin, what happened?!" Felix rushed into the hall, horrified to meet a spaced-out Seungmin surrounded by shards of glass.

It was as if his entire world had started to crash down, and Seungmin was the one watching it do so.

"Seungmin." The smaller male shook his boyfriend, looking up at him with glassy eyes while his lips quivered.
