Jisung roamed through the small store he goes to all the time recently. It's the closest store next to the hospital. He lingered in an aisle, tracing until he found the product he searched for, putting it in his bag. Jisung walked past a few more until he gathered everything and headed towards the cashier.

"Pin, please," Jisung said, holding out his card. The cashier put everything in his bag. "Have a great rest of your day," the cashier replied. Jisung bid his goodbye and left the store, the bell above the door ringing.

He walked over the boulevard at a slow pace. Then someone called for him. "Hey, Jisung."

Jisung turned around. "Hey, Chan," he greeted, his voice a bit weak. Chan noticed the bag in his hand and pretty much figured from that. "You're heading to Minho?" Jisung hummed.

The other paused to acknowledge the state Jisung was in. "There's a lot on your mind, isn't there?" Chan continued. "Do you want to sit down for a bit?" he offered, motioning to a place they could talk.

The two sat down on the top of the wall. This was the exact same place they had their first talk together. This is where the two of them shared their thoughts and reconciled. Jisung asked if they could be friends. That stuck to Chan ever since.

"You're tired, aren't you?"

Jisung stayed silent. "I want him back." He trailed off. "It doesn't matter what I sacrifice to have him back with me."

"It's hard for you, right?" Chan turned his head, frowning at him. Jisung's lips trembled, clenching his teeth on them. It's like he read Jisung's mind. He averted himself to the ground. "I have to continue. For him." Chan laid his hand on top of his shoulder. "I know you will. You were always strong like that."

Jisung entered the room, pushing open the door. It felt heavier every time he returned. "The weather outside is beautiful today," Jisung commented, placing down everything and walking over to the wheelchair parked opposite of the bed. "Want to go out for a change of scenery? Fresh air is good, you know?" Jisung helped Minho get into the wheelchair, being very careful to do so slowly. Minho went along with it. He seemed to have worsened, but Jisung tried to ignore that fact, deciding it's best to stay positive. It's nice weather outside after all. Sunshine would do him good.

The birds chirped in the garden and the sky was clear for the first time in a week. Some people were also strolling outside with their loved ones. Children passed by laughing and screaming, holding onto kites or those paper windmills, swirling in the cool breeze, changing into all sorts of bright colors. Jisung smiled at them. Everyone was so happy. Minho stared up at the sky, remaining expressionless throughout the stroll. He watched the scenery and everyone around pass by him.

They stood in front of the grey door, having to return to this same somber room. Then Minho burst out, his body weak. "Don't go.."

"Don't leave me here.." he choked out, gasping from lack of air as tears stained his cheeks. Minho tried to supress it. All of it. He wouldn't be able to live his life the same way. Yet it still hurt. He couldn't keep that inside anymore. And so, he let his guard down. Lee Minho let his guard down. Jisung tried to muffle his cries but failed miserably. For the first time in a long while, he embraced him again. He felt Minho tremble into his touch, hearing his cries pierced his heart. Jisung clutched onto him, holding Minho like he would disappear from his life for good. He buried himself in the crook of the other's neck. "I am not going anywhere, Love." Jisung whispered. He couldn't speak any louder. Minho brought him in more, completely engulfing himself in Jisung's familiar embrace. He gasped quietly. "I don't even deserve you... I keep coming back to you like this even though I know damn well I am hurting you."

Jisung let go of him. "Shut up! I don't want to hear any of those words!" He finally let out. It felt strange when the rocks lifted from his shoulders, allowing him to breathe again, Jisung even surprised himself. "I am so desperate for you, I will always come running back to you no matter what happens."

"We made a promise, Minho. So I'm not planning on leaving you. I can't live without you anyway." Jisung admitted, chuckling at the end of his sentence. "Everything reminds me of you somehow. That sounds cliché, but it's the truth. What can I say? Two broken people have trouble fixing each other, what do you expect? As long as I can hold you, I am fine."

Minho wiped his hand across his face, letting out a laugh even though he was still on edge. "Why do you care so much for this jerk? You should stop. I might hurt you more in the future that way."

Jisung wrapped his arms around Minho and shook his head 'no'.

"No, not happening. He's my jerk and I'll keep caring for him."

The two of them exhaled at the same time. They closed their eyes. Finally, they could relax in each other's embrace again. It still gave them the same safe and comforting feeling.

"I love you, Minho," Jisung hummed.

"I love you more, Jisung," Minho responded, caressing the other. "I am sorry for failing you."

"Shh," he hushed. "No more of that. You never failed me to begin with."

Even though they keep leaving each other, in the end, they'll run back to the other. Two broken pieces will always seek the other part so they can feel whole again. Together, Jisung and Minho complete each other. What they have is unconditional love. That's the most precious thing you should never give up on.
