And so Minho started training with Hyunjin again. It was like the two of them were catching up again slowly. It actually made the two realize how much they had missed spending time together. At some point, they had started parting ways because they never saw or spoke to each other. So times like these where you laid passed out on the floor, covered in sweat while cracking jokes, it's nice to have a friend.

"Honestly," Hyunjin breathed out. "You suck!" he grinned, awaiting the older's reaction. "Are you looking for a beating, Hyunjin?" Minho tilted his head. Hyunjin backed away, holding his hands in front of him. "No, no, I'm okay." he stuttered and exhaled, too tired to play around with Minho. "I'm so fucking tired." Minho cursed under his breath with his eyes shut. At perfect timing, the door opened, revealing the man's boyfriends walking side to side, water bottles in their hands. Jisung kneeled down, waving the cool water bottle above his head. "Drinks' here," he announced, and Minho accepted all too eagerly. "Thanks, Love." Minho got up and pecked Jisung's cheek before taking a sip. "And here's one for you too," Chan squatted next to Hyunjin, who rather wanted to wrap his arms around the man's waist. "Hyunjin," Chan's voice softened as the other clung to him like a koala. "You need to drink something, too."

"Nah, I'd rather kiss you." Hyunjin, who laid his chin on top of his shoulder, answered and leaned in for a kiss. Chan tried to contain his smile but that failed. "Ok, I don't complain about that decision, but you need to take care of yourself as well, yeah?"

"Look a those two." Minho nudged Jisung and motioned his head towards the couple, shooting them a judging look. Jisung could only giggle at the other's facial expression.

Those were the last days of Minho's practice and then it came, even though it had been around the corner for a long time. The final repetition.

Minho kept tapping his heels, having to take breaths every now and then. He couldn't quit trembling. Jisung squeezed his hand in his, giving the other a reassuring nod. "You can do it," he spoke when grabbing Minho's attention. Minho hummed, giving him a nod too.

"Now go out there," Jisung hyped him up and pushed the other to the stage. Minho took in a deep breath before stepping toward the curtain and passing through it. From backstage, he saw Jisung raise his fists, mouthing a "Fighting." Luckily he still had Jisung to hype him up.

From beneath him, a set of people looked up to him, their eyes following Minho's every critical move, some fixing their glasses and others clicking their pens before scribbling something on their boards. "That's it for tonight." one of the judges said. "You may go home after discussing a few last things." Minho held his gaze low, clasping his hands together and bowing. "Thank you for your hard work." he thanked them and walked off stage. Where Jisung awaited him.

Soon after, his trainer came running after him. Minho gulped. She was in charge of telling him if he were to present their academy tomorrow or not, his chance to perform on a real stage depended on her words. She already saw his expression and lowered her head. Minho caught on to that and mirrored her reaction. Suddenly, her face brightened. His trainer bumped him teasingly which earned a jealous glare from Jisung as he huffed and averted himself from the scene.

"You got in!" she exclaimed, both hands on his shoulders.

Jisung snapped his head toward Minho, eyes widened while his mouth stood agape. The information needed a while to process in Minho's head, but once it became clear he was actually going to perform Minho flung his arms around Jisung, taking him in for a hug. "I'm in!" He jumped around with Jisung, both giggling and screaming.

That night, sleep didn't seem to get over Minho. After tossing and turning for the past few hours, an idea got to him. One more practice wouldn't hurt, right?

"Minho. Sleep." Jisung stated, serious.

"But I-" Minho tried to protest.

"No." Jisung simply said. "No, I will not risk you fainting on stage tomorrow."

"You already practiced a lot, Minho. Now your body needs rest and I won't allow your stupidity to get in the way of your health. I just want you safe, Love. Can you please not do it and listen?"

Minho shifted back on the bed where Jisung wrapped his body around him. "Thank you." he whispered and the older responded. "I'm sorry for worrying you again."

"As long as you're safe in my arms like this, I can handle it," Jisung replied with a soft, sleepy smile covering his features.
