Jisung's heart almost thumped out of his chest like a thunderstorm waiting to unravel with every step he set closer to the room he had spent the entire week in. He would see him again, talk to him and he'd be awake, listening. Jisung's hand trembled when he wrapped it around the door handle and pushed it down.

The curtains in the room waved around from the window that stood open, Jisung being welcomed by the cool breeze that blew his way. He took a breath in. He didn't remember when he was this nervous, being so close to him. The only thing Jisung saw was the other's side profile as he stared out of the window, not looking at him.

"Minho," his voice broke in the silence. Jisung felt his upper body cower, insecurities taking over his mind, still standing alone in the doorway. He had to move, but he couldn't. "Come on," Jisung scolded himself in a breathless whisper. He hesitated first and took a step closer to the bed. Minho didn't look at him when he sat down on the chair, either.

Jisung laid his hand on top of his. "Look at me. Aren't you going to talk to me?"

"Love." He moved his hand over Minho's cheek, turning him towards him. "Talk to me." But there was nothing. No word. No glance. Just silence. Jisung's lip began quivering. "Come on, you're awake now, won't you say something?" His voice faltered as he suppressed his tears from sliding down. He sniffed, wiping his sleeve across his face. "You know what, it's fine, you don't have to talk to me. I'll make you happy again. Yeah. I'll promise you I will make you happy."

Minho let his head fall back. "It's over, Jisung." A bitter grin laced his face but that changed when he inhaled, pressing his lips on each other, suppressing whatever he held to himself. "I fought for nothing."

"Why are you saying that?" Jisung interrupted him, breaking out into tears.

"They won. I lost." Minho just continued.

The view outside the window turned dark and with every transition, another star seemed to appear in the sky. Jisung laid down on top of Minho, staring outside, his hands plumped around the older's sides carefully because of the injuries. He put his ear to the other's chest, feeling it slowly rise and fall, all while hearing his heart beat to a slow, steady rhythm like that of a song. "Even if you've lost all hope, I'll hope for you."
