The arms of the clock tapped along the seconds while Minho laid in the, now familiar, hospital bed. Another minute ticked by. Nine o'clock. Strange. Jisung would be here by now. Though the younger himself wasn't the best in time schedules, he never really missed any of the on-the-dot timings with Minho's hospital visits, if he was allowed to boast a little about that. Minho frowned. "Where are you, Han Jisung?" he murmured under his breath, and just then the door opened.

Inside stepped Chan and Hyunjin, Hyunjin being the first to comment upon seeing Minho's expression. "Wow, sorry for visiting you, I guess." Chan eyed his boyfriend, giving him one disapproving nudge and a shake of his head before turning himself back to Minho. "I don't need to say anything, I bet you're used to it now," Chan referred to Hyunjin's behaviour, and he sat down on one of the chairs in front of the other's bed. "How are you feeling?" The oldest of them asked as soon as he observed Minho. "I know the hospital in and out. Apart from that, my therapies are going alright and I'm recovering how I'm supposed to." Minho shrugged.

"But, there is something else bothering you?"

"Is Jisung coming to visit?" Minho finally managed to bring out after a force struggle of hiding his vulnerability. "I haven't heard anything about him. He usually always comes on time." He lowered his eyes down on the blanket where he fiddled with his hands. "Wait," Hyunjin interrupted and leaned forward from his seat more. "He hasn't visited you yet? We kind of just assumed he had and left already when we came here."

"So that means he hasn't called any of you either?" Minho asked although it was more of a conclusion than a question. Chan shook his head upon that. "No, I'm afraid not. I haven't heard of him in a few days either, now that you bring up the subject."

This didn't sit right with Minho. None of it. First, Jisung doesn't show up, then not even Chan or Hyunjin heard anything from him when he was aware that Jisung and his friends held contact a lot of times since his hospitalization. Now, he wasn't sure if Felix or Seungmin knew something yet, but with the looks of the situation now, it seems like he just disappeared.

"Maybe Felix and Seungmin know where he is," Hyunjin stated after an uncomfortable silence laced with something that just sparked an unknown sense of worry inside their chests. "That could be." Minho responded, however, not convinced or riddened of the paranoid instinct creeping in his mind, projecting all the worst scenarios that could have happened.

"We'll find him." Chan put a hand on Minho's arm, squeezing it reassuringly. Minho nodded, staring into the air distantly. Yeah. He hoped so.

It's a cliché, but Jisung's heart drummed against his chest. He swore he could almost lose his balance and meet the ground while at it. Why? Why did he always have to feel like this whenever he was confronted with something? Something new, unfamiliar, yet to discover. Maybe that's what made him fear the most. Something he couldn't predict, being at loss for stability. Because something new can never guarantee you safety. Never.

Jisung groaned, hopping in his place from the nerves soaring through his body. "Why does this have to be so terrifying?" he spoke to himself staring up to the sky before casting his gaze back to the building in front of him. He held his bag branded tightly against his clothed skin, digging his nails into the fabric. "You got this Han Jisung. If you can't do this, you might as well live under a rock for the rest of your life. People just exist and you can't avoid to socialize forever."

He whined. "But I want to." He closed his eyes, taking in one last trembling breath of air before entering through the sliding doors. The echoes of his steps welcomed him as soon as he walked in. This was the first time he walked all alone. His friends didn't accompany him any longer. He was on his own now. Jisung walked to the reception, greeting the lady behind it. "Hello, I am looking for class 034." He shoved the card with the written information on it, waiting for the lady's response. "Right. It's around the corner, down the hall, first room right in front of you," she instructed, pointing into the direction he needed to go with a friendly smile. "I bet they are waiting for you already. Good luck, dear!"
