Chapter 23- Aurora: I.

[Flashback: Eight years ago.]

Love is as complicated as it can be, it's something unexplainable because perhaps we all have our unique definition for it which is understandable only through the classic three magical words. I once felt it, I still do and I'll keep feeling it until I take my last breath only towards that one person who managed to capture my breath within his grasp from the moment I laid my eyes on him.

Complicated but sweet, painful but pleasurable, distracting but addicting are some of the little moments that summed up my experience with love. It was really something different, no feeling in this universe could ever compete with that feeling.

Seokjin was my first and only love, I still remember the very exact moment he walked passed by me and the unknown sensation that took over my body within a mere moment which now I like to call it as attraction. It felt like I needed him to have me or else I'd die, the effect he had on me without even a proper contact was beyond this void. I could just feel my frozen breath and thundering heart whenever the thoughts of him crossed my mind.

The first time we made an eye contact was when I accidentally slipped down the hallway due to some random junk lying by but thank god for that piece of trash because right from a little eye contact we progressed to our first physical touch which was his hands intertwining against my mind with an intention to help. The little electric shock I felt was enough to wake me up from all the delusional fantasies I once had as I crushed on this man from a distance to actually making a move before it's too late, it made me realize that with time the little so called crushed progressed to something called love.

"Are you okay?" his first sentence laced with pure concern as I nodded in response, being too nervous to speak. Up close he was even more prettier than I thought he would be, I didn't even know human this perfect actually existed until I saw Kim Seokjin's perfectly sculptured face glowing underneath the sunlight as he looked deeply immersed in a random book while sitting in one of those ugly benches that surprisingly didn't seem ugly anymore.

As time runs, things progressed. That one sentence changed into two and then three and then to a point where I'd talk back with the same smile as his, not as perfect as him but the fact that he's the only reason behind this smile made it seem at least a bit perfect.

"What do you want to become Joonie?" he questioned as I still wasn't over the nickname he gave me over the course of time.

"I don't know but I always wanted to publish my own novel but I'm afraid I'll have to find a work before that because food doesn't come that easy" I smiled through my response but internally sighed knowing that my dreams are nothing compared to his, scratch that honestly I'm nothing compared to someone as perfect as him but I hope to become at least half as good as him someday.

He's a guy with big dreams but I know for sure those dreams would definitely come true. He has everything after all, all the skills and the most perfect face but that's being mentioned he's also financially stable as far as I'm concerned and his dream of being the biggest attorney would surely come true some day.

"Are you kidding me? I'll be the first one to buy your novel and personally take your signature over it. I'm sure it's going to break all the records and don't worry about the food, I'm always here for you" he smiled as I shyly chuckled at his honey coated ever so sweet words. You'll always be the first of my everything Jin, I wish I could tell you that with the same smile you give me everyday but unfortunately I can't because I'm afraid you'll abandoned me around like everyone else.

Everyone abandoned me and all I was left with my mother who was too immersed in life to worry about her son. Sometimes I even question if she remembers that she has a son but regardless of everything that happened around me Jin made me forget of all of my worries and somehow whenever I was around him, it made me feel alive.
