Really? A Love Potion!

OG Darkwing Duck
Darkwing x Negaduck
Gosalyn & Fearsome Four

Based on the Love Potion from My Valentine Ghoul

Darkwing didn't see Negaduck for two weeks after the love potion incident. He almost wondered if was still under love potion when he showed back up the last time. The event lived in his mind like an unwelcome house guest and he couldn't forget it. He needed an explanation.

He wasn't too shocked when he got the alert that Negaduck had been spotted attempting to rob a jewelry warehouse. However, he was surprised that Negaduck hadn't said a word the whole time they fought. After Dark announced himself he expected a witty quip but none came. Darkwing, for once in his life, was fine with the silence. He missed there usually banter but didn't want to bring back up recent events so silence was fine.

Dark also noticed the yellow-clad duck was also using long distance weapons like bombs and grenades. Not that the villain didn't use the occasional bomb but he tended to favor his chainsaw and hand to hand combat. The sudden change bothered Darkwing because avoiding the explosions was getting tedious, not any other reason.

When Negaduck finally whipped out his chainsaw, Dark felt himself smile. Dark fought harder now and managed to kick the weapon way, with what he thought was impeccable grace but in actuality wasn't. Finally, Nega had to fight hand to hand. However, instead of a real fight he simply pulled Darkwing into a choke hold and for the first time that night spoke.

"They say absence makes the heart grow fonder but I can see you don't harbor any warm and fuzzy thoughts for me." Dark froze for a second, his heart beat tripled. The villain chuckled, "Though your heart rate seems to betray you."

He flipped Darkwing to the ground and left him there, along with whatever he had been there to steal.

Dark had asked Morgona about the side effects of the love potion. They were mainly centered around the memories the person had while under its effects. He could see it when he fought the Fearsome Four. They made sure their attacks didn't come too close to Gos and didn't kidnap her anymore. However, he didn't see how it applied to Negaduck. It didn't make any sense.

Dark tried to turn his thoughts to capturing the man. His research led him to looking through security camera footage. He paused on a glimpse of Negaduck messing with some crates.

What was his game? Did the mallard really just want to see him squirm like he said? Drake couldn't deny having a physical reaction to the other man and the thought alone made him squirm. Why did he have to react to him at all? He slammed his head on the desk and then rubbed his temples.

"Damn, no wonder your head hurts," there was a dark chuckle. Dark sat straight up and looked around the room for the voice but saw no one. "Oh come on I thought we were past that."

Dark narrowed his eyes at the empty room. "We're past nothing. You tried to kill me with your chainsaw earlier tonight."

"I wasn't trying to kill you. If I wanted you, dead you'd be dead."

"That's a comforting thought," he mumbled and slouched into the chair glaring into the shadows. Negaduck growled and there was a small pause.

"You know you're very distracting." Dark could hear the smirk.

Dark clenched his fist, "And you're very annoying."

Another chuckle, "Is that why you were staring at pictures of me?"

"Ha-ha-ha you're soo funny," he rolled his eyes. "If you're just here to torment me then I suggest you leave."

"Aww, there's nothing else you want me to do?" Dark gritted his teeth. "I told you your heart beat betrays."
