The pan popped and sizzled. He heard Jim groan from the other room. The man made his way into the kitchen and locked his arms around him.

"I want to go back to bed," his boyfriend whined.

"Then go back." He tried to focus on the task at hand.

"D," Jim growled. His hand moved downwards. Drake caught his hand.

"I'm cooking."

"Hasn't stopped us before," Jim chuckled.

Jim spun him. He kissed him and pushed him towards the stove. The pan touched his back, and the heat made him jump. Jim chuckled, kissing his neck, pushing him closer to the stovetop.

"Jim, knock it off," he hissed.

His boyfriend growled but pulled away. He was glaring.

"I've got to get home. Gos is expecting me to take her to school," he explained. Jim rolled his eyes.

"Can't the babysitter do it?"

"Normally yes, but I promised her I would today."

"Can I make you change your mind?" Jim said, leaning in for another kiss. Drake spun back to the pan.

"It's the anniversary of the day I adopted her," he whispered. He couldn't believe it had been that long.

"Three years, right?" Jim pulled away slightly.

"Yea. Seems like a lot longer than that," Drake laughed.

Drake was surprised that he remembered. For Jim, it was just a reminder of their anniversary was approaching. Not that they made it a big deal. Though honestly, neither of them could believe they survived that long.

Drake finished frying the bacon and Jim was silent the whole time, which wasn't a good sign. He wondered what his boyfriend was plotting.

"Come by afterwards." He phrased it like a demand, but Drake was used to that. In the beginning he had to fight his Darkwing instincts of it feeling like a threat. Now it felt warm and familiar.

"I have some errands." He turned towards him with a plate but paused when he saw Jim's face. "Is everything okay?"

"Peachy." Jim smirked and kissed him softly.

That did little to quail his imagination. Jim had a serious look. Their relationship had mainly been for fun but they seemed to getting more serious recently. Though Drake could never complete commit no matter how much he might love Jim. He couldn't risk dragging Jim into his night life.

"Give me! Give me!" Gos bombarded him.

"Good morning to you too," he chuckled.

"Where is it?"

"You'll get your present after school."

"Awww! I want it now!"

"Too bad."

She talked his ear off on the way. She had spent the night with Honker and apparently she had beaten him at all the video games they owned.

He made his way to the school. He couldn't stop thinking about earlier, despite trying to focus on his little girl.

"Is everything okay, Dad?"

"Of course. Why do you ask?"

"You're quiet." He hummed. "You're never quiet."
