Gladstone x Donald

You could say they grew up together but Gladstone had only seen Della and Donald a few times when they were children. They began hanging out more in their teen years and after Gladstone developed a cocky attitude towards his luck and charming character. It had become very apparent to him his effect on each twin. He practically flirted with Della nonstop. Della was a flirt herself and loved the attention. He never flirted with Donald on the other hand. It just didn't feel right maybe because Donald always seemed angry at him and he didn't want to rock that boat.

He had never been one to feed his cousin's rage, on purpose, because Gladstone didn't want Donny to be mad at anything. He always played it safe around Donald. Though his anger seemed to be connected to his presence. That and his tardiness.

Why did his Uncle's house have to be so big? It was infuriating. The twins were already in Scrooge's office of the mansion when Gladstone opened the door.

"Oh, there you two are! Been looking everywhere for you." Gladstone lied with a smile trying to ease into the room.

"You're only saying that because you're late," Donald huffed already angry.

'Great,' Gladstone sighed to himself.

"Ignore him. He's in a mood. It's good to see you, Glady!" Della jumped up to hug him. Donald stood just enough to acknowledge him, only really moving because his sister had.

"You to, Del. Looking as gorgeous as ever I see," he chuckled. "Any idea why Uncle Grumpy called us here?"

"Uncle Scrooge," Donald stressed the name, "wants to talk to us about the gala. Didn't you pay attention to the phone call?"

"Nope." Gladstone popped, jumping into his chair. "Gala, you say? Del, got a date?"

"Will you knock it off and be serious for once?!" Donald's rant wasn't a new one but it was unexpected to come this early in the reunion.

"Okay Don, gheeze. What do we gotta do anyways?" Gladstone sat up in the chair. Della shot her brother a worried look but continued.

"Uncle Scrooge is using the gala as a cover to sneak in a load of exotic jewelry." Gladstone lifted an eyebrow. "There's already been seven attempts to steal them."

"Ah," he nodded and fiddled with some pencils on the desk, "and Uncle McDuckle wants me there to make sure everything goes smoothly. Got it."

"Pretty much. You in?" Della asked, like it was question and not demand.

"Only if you're my date." He winked at her.

"Who else would I take?" She laughed but Donald crossed his arm disapproving and huffed loudly.

Gladstone glanced at him and for the first ever he let it slip. "Awe Donald jealous? If you want me to take you all you have to do is ask, you know? I'm sure Della is willing to share me."

"Wh-what?" Donald turned red and even took Gladstone a second to realize what he said because he hadn't intended to. He thought about saying things like that all the time but never did. He's luck stopped him from infuriating the duck farther but he watched as it seemed to have the opposite affect. Donald was still stuttering, "I don't- I'm - No. Just no."

Della fell to the floor hard laughing and Donald turned on his heel, still a bright red.

"Awe. Don, don't leave it was just a joke!" Gladstone cooed after him, knowing very well he hadn't been joking. Donald slowed down and the gander waited until the door slammed, impressively actually - it was a heavy door. Gladstone turned to Della. "What's the matter with him?"
