Dewey knew better than to hide things regarding their mother... again. When he found the rusted file he raced to find them. It was hard. They spent their free days at McDuck Enterprises. Huey was in the basement overseeing technical development. Louie was in the main office overseeing the business side of things. Taking over for their uncle wasn't the original plan but no one ever thought the ledge would or could pass on.

Dewey dragged Huey, who protect being drug away from his high tech toys, upstairs with hardly a word. He hung up with whoever Louie had been talking too, which earned an angry shout in retaliation. Though everyone was silent when he pulled out the flash drive.

"I found this when I was repairing the Speer of Selene."

His brothers grew quiet. They knew he was repairing it but it was meant to be a museum relic. They thought they had learned all its secrets years ago. Dewey slipped the USB into the main computer, with no objection from Louie.

It flickered to the inter of the ship. The camera was sitting on a table on the ship. Their mother looked younger than any of them had ever seen her, not including the limited time travel adventures they had done. She smile and waved. Her hair bobbed.

"Hey, Mom here. That stills feels weird to say," she beamed.

"I'm floating in the vastness of space, still," she chuckled, spitefully. She chewed bubble gum every few words.

"I wanted to say happy birthday. So happy birthday! It should be any day now." She kind of cringed. "It took me ages to set up this camera but I've been keeping up with the days."

She gestured to the red X on the wall behind her. It has clearly been three years or so even with a rough estimate of all the tallies. The boys cringed.

"I hope you're celebrating your birthday with lots of fun and excitement. I know Uncle Scrooge always made ours memorable. Oh, hi Donald, eat some cake for me or anything that's not licorice. Oh man, I wish I could be there." Her gaze drifted far away. Her gaze snapped back to the camera. "Currently, I am exploring the mysteries of the moon but I can't wait to get back and for you to tell me what kind of crazy adventure Scrooge has taken you on. I hope he is keeping an eye on you boys."

"I wish you all the happiness in the world. I hope you're shooting for the moon." She laughed. "I probably shouldn't say that. But seriously support each other, be there for one another, and never stop believing in yourselves. I'll be back on Earth soon, and we'll have our own grand adventure together. Until then, know I love you, and enjoy your special day! With all my love from the moon, Mom."

The camera clicked off and then back on in a different position like she was holding it. She had longer hair this time.

"Hi, Mom again," she sighed heavily. "I can't believe it's been another year. I remembered when I found out I was going to be a mom. I couldn't wait to teach you everything I knew. I still can't."

Her gaze was far away again.

"Anyways, I wish you all the happiness and success the world has to offer. Please give my love to Donald and Uncle Scrooge. May your dream of the moon and me in the process." She chucked to herself lightly. "Remember to never stop believing in yourselves. I'll be back on Earth soon, and we'll have our own grand adventure together. Until then, know that I love you with all my heart, and I hope you enjoy your special day to the fullest! And eat some cake for me! Love ya, Mom."

After another flick the camera. She bursted onto the screen.

"Happy birthday! I wish I could be there. Don't worry though I'll make it up to you three when I get back. I have these cool stories and I know I send regular updates but I have to leave out the crazy stuff until you're older."

The boys collectively made a grossed out face remembering the bits she had left out.

"Anyways, I have to get back to work. I'm nearly halfway done. It would've gone faster if Gyro would've written in English! Though that's a rant for another day!" She beamed into the camera. "I hope you boys have fun and tell your Uncles hello and I love them."

"P.s. whoever wrote the quote "Aim for the moon and if you fail you'll land among the stars." was full of it. There's nothing on this ball of dirt but carters and moon mites. And stars are worst, big balls of flammable gas. Anyways, aim for whatever you want! But I'm telling the moon is overrated."

The camera clicked off and back on her hair was past her shoulder.

"Hey, guys. It's been a few years. You kind of lose track of time up here." She looked like she would cry. "I'm doing everything I can but it's not looking too good. Uncle Scrooge made this stupid thing run on gold. Gold of all things! Where am I supposed to find that on the moon?"

She took a depth breath.

"I'll figure it out. I'm Della Duck! Anyway, you boys are always on my mind. Keep taking care of each other, and never stop believing in yourselves. May your dreams soar as high as the moon but your feet firmly on the earth. That's a quote right? Whatever. I love you more than words can express, and I can't wait for us together and be a real family."

The camera clicked off and back. She was on the moon base now, probably in Penny's room. They had heard in detail about the place.

"I am so close. I will be back soon. I am so sorry it took me this long. Don't worry when I get back there will be so much cake we will drown in it. I hope you boys are doing okay and you're aiming for the moon still but not literally or I'll personally glue your feet to the ground if I have to." There was a bang. "Oh, that's my roommate Penny. Penny, say hi."

Penny shoved the camera away and it landed on the ground. It went blank. The boys stared at the black screen. They were all too stunned to speak. All three of them jumped when their phones dinged in unions.

From Mom:

Happy Birthday my precious baby boys! Glad to see your dreams have landed you on the moon. Hope to see you here soon! 💕
