It had been a typical night. Quiverwing had tracked Megavolt to a werehouse and was now dodged blasts from his newest gun. She could tell it was new because some wires weren't completely stuffed inside the machine and it whirled loudly like it was overheating.
"What the hell are you doing?" She heard a gruff voice ring out. She wasn't sure if it was addressing her.
"Negaduck," Megavolt squeaked. "I was just, um, well, you see, Quiverwing stopped by and I figured I would show her what we do to unwanted house guests."
"Well, knock it off before you blow us all up!" the Dark Mallard said, appearing behind her. "I'll take care of the kid."
She felt him grab her shoulder, but before they could move Megavolt's gun exploded. She flung backwards into her father's doppelgänger and was knocked out cold.
When she came too, she stared at a very tall ceiling. She recognized where she was, Darkwing's tower. Only they had quit using this hideout several years ago because Megavolt found out and he had a large month. She held her head and noticed bodies scattered around her.
As the dust settled, she stood up. Darkwing was the first one she made out, and she went to run towards him. How had her father gotten here? She paused when she noticed the second figure was wearing a yellow suit. Negaduck, she turned towards him. She approached him slowly and leaned down as he groaned. Instinctively, she stepped back. She had been in this situation before, and she knew from experience he would wake up swinging.
After a second of stillness, he punched the air above him and she leaned back over him. She went to speak when but a noise behind her cut it off.
Negaduck quickly jumped up and pulled her behind him. He knew he was in a different place and he didn't know who else was in the room. However, he would kill Megavolt on sight for this headache.
His eyes adjusted to the poor light. There was something familiar about this place, but his headache kept him from placing it. His gaze narrowed in on a purple copy of himself, hiding a younger version of the girl he was. He felt the girl step from behind him and clear her throat. She was uncomfortable, and he knew to give her space. His eyes flickered back towards the Dipstick and his confusion. Although he couldn't let a chance like that pass him. He reached for her and placed a hand on her shoulder. She looked up at him with a glare, but he didn't care. She knew better than to move again because he would simply make a bigger deal.
The younger Gosalyn was the first to speak. She jumped out from behind her dad.
"Keen gear! I love the costume. Tell me, in the future, is the world run by alien bugs or is there non-meltable ice-cream or do we have gravity free zones?" She bounced, stepping away from her father, but not much. She had always been frightened of Negaduck when she was younger.
"No! We didn't get that lucky! You think with all the scientists, we know we could at least get reverse bungee jumping in the works!" The older Gosalyn crossed her arms.
"Gosalyn? You're from the future!?" Her dad croaked like that was the only part he heard.
"Uh, doy. Do try to keep up, Dipwing." Negaduck speaking made the tension in the room go through the roof.
It didn't help that he pulled the girl closer to him. Quiverwing had a theory that was a nervous tick from the original dimension. He was used to protecting that version of her. Though she had to shake her head at the insult. Drake knitted his eyebrows together.
