I woke up to the sun shining brightly in the bedroom, causing me to let out a groan in annoyance. I turn my head to see why it was so bright in here, and I saw that the curtains were wide open. I completely turn around and found the rest of the bed empty. Where did Adrian go? It was then when I noticed a single rose lying on the bed, on top of his pillow along with a small piece of paper. I take the rose with one hand, and read the note with the other.

Good morning, my Sunshine!
If I had a flower for every time I thought of you… I could walk through my garden forever. So here lies one of those millions of flowers just for you. 💓

I went to sleep last night with a smile because I knew I’d be dreaming of you… But I woke up this morning with a smile because you weren’t a dream.

My love, there are two things that I will forever be sure of. The sun will always fall for the moon, and I will always fall for you. 💘

Should you find yourself awake without my presence, I am only making breakfast 💕 I will see that gorgeous face of yours very soon.

I had to have been smiling the biggest smile in the world by the time I finished reading his letter. I brought the flower up to my nose, smelling its wonderful fragrance, and that was when I heard the door open. I look over to see Adrian walking in carrying a tray full of food, and I sit up just as he was setting it down and sits down beside me.

“Good morning, my Sunshine. I hope you slept well.” He says as he brings a hand up to my cheek before leaning in to give me a kiss. “I did, and I must say it was a lovely surprise waking up to find your letter and rose for me.” I smile as he pulls away. He seems to be thinking about something before he speaks up.

“Making you smile is part of my daily routine… That is my way of letting you know that you mean the world to me, my love. My world.” Those words were strangely familiar. Then it came to me. That was in one of the many letters that he wrote for me in the scavenger hunt. I again smile. “Adrian-”

“And now that we are married, and you are my insanely gorgeous wife… I am going to make it my mission that you wake up each and every morning with that incredibly gorgeous smile of yours. And of course, that goes to say that you go to sleep with that smile as well.” He says before giving me another kiss.

“I really don’t understand how I became so lucky to deserve such an incredible husband.”

“I can say the same about you, my love. Now, are we going to just sit here and talk while the food becomes cold, or are we going to eat up?” He questions playfully. “I’m not sure about you, but I am going to eat, I’m starving! Also, the food looks amazing!” I exclaim as I look at everything on the tray. There was bacon, eggs, pancakes, sides of fruit, two glasses of juice, sausages, waffles, and to top it all off, he even added a small vase with a couple flowers for decoration.

“Honey, you really went all out on breakfast, didn’t you?!” I say in amazement. “Well, I did want to surprise you with breakfast in bed. You deserve it after everything you went through lately. Then to get up in the middle of the night just to accompany me after my nightmare… It’s my way of saying thank you.”

“Darling, there is no need to thank me, I will always be there for you just as you are for me. I married you, I will forever be there for you.” I say as I take a bite out of one of the waffles, which tasted a m a z i n g. I then hear him chuckling beside me. “Enjoying the waffles there, are you?” He teases. “Yes! You are such an amazing cook! These have got to be the best waffles I have ever had!” I state, making him giggle.

“I’m pleased to hear that you enjoy my cooking, love.”

“You’ll have to make these for me more often! I must say the bacon smells phenomenal! Though, I don’t think the baby likes it too much. I had become sick the last two times I ate it, so that makes me a little sad.” I admit. Bacon was one of my absolute favorite breakfast foods. And the fact that it now makes me sick every time I eat it, really upsets me. “Forgive me, I do apologize I keep forgetting about that. I know how much you love bacon, so it just became a bit of a habit making it for you. I certainly don’t want to torture you with the smell, so I won’t make it anymore until baby arrives. Unless of course, it gets better for you down the road. I will happily make some for you.”

“No, that is okay. I’m not going to make you stop eating bacon just because I can’t.”

“Nonsense, my love. It would be insensitive for me to do so, knowing how much you miss eating it.” He says before placing a kiss to my cheek.
