“You... Took your own... But I don’t understand, growing up I always known you to be happy! You’d always giggle at every little thing, and you live off... No...”

“At one point I had met this lady, very dear to me. She had also laughed all the time. I asked her why she would always laugh and ask for jokes. She told me ‘why not? Because how sad would it be should laughter disappear?’ I suppose you can say I had retired after hearing that. Amora, you are my world, my everything I have ever wanted and dreamed of!” As he was crying even more, I scoot closer to him and hold him in my arms as I try to comfort him.

“You are my love, Undertaker. I love you more than anything in the world, you will always have me. I need you just as much as you need me.” I say quietly, and he tightens his grip on me.

Once he calms down, he lets go and straightens himself up to continue on. “With you, yes you were 12 when you had died. I know you had asked me about your heart beating from time to time, and I didn’t have an answer for that. But I now know the cause and reason. When I brought you back, you didn’t have one of course, and I thought you never would anymore. I had returned your soul so you can still be that sweet girl I knew you had always been. It turns out, with your soul it still plays a role with your heart beating. With your heart beating, you are still able to age. However, as the years go on, you will start aging less, as your heart will slowly beat less. A heart is so used to beating constantly in a mortal life, and with your case, it will start getting used to beating less and less.”

“But how can that be? You still have your heart and soul, and you never age anymore?” I was beyond confused. “It’s different for me. I am absolutely immortal, except with a death scythe of course. With you, I am uncertain if you can be within a fire and be fine or if you would still burn to ash, and I refuse to have you risk it. I can be within a fire and be fine. I was immediately brought back after death to be a reaper. It took a year to bring you back... It’s difficult to explain.”
