Chapter 38: Broken Love

I had been crying for at least 20 minutes before I heard a knock on the door. “Amora, it’s me, Ciel. Can I come in?” I barely hear him ask. Not wanting to talk to anybody, I continue to ignore him.

After a moment he opens the door anyway, and he steps in before closing the door again. “Amora, we need to talk.” He says quietly. “Go away, Ciel.” I barely get out. “No, you need to hear this!... Look, I don’t... Care much about Undertaker, but seeing how happy you are being with him, I’m happy for you! I know how much you both mean to each other, and that is why I’m taking his side on this.”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, and I was hurting even more. “Amora, it really was not what it looked like, I know this for a fact! I saw what happened, and so did Sebastian. She pushed herself onto him, and he was trying to push her off! He wasn’t leaning into the kiss, he was fighting to get her off of him. He’s not in the wrong, Amora, and you need to see that! I could have easily lied about the truth, and kept you away from being with him, but then what kind of brother would I be to keep his own sister from her one true love? To keep you from your own happiness!? I know you two are made for each other, Amora! I saw it with my own eye before we even left here this morning! I saw the way he looks at you, and the way you look at him.”

I didn’t know what to say or think, and he continued to speak when he noticed I wasn’t going to say anything. “Do you know what he is doing now, Amora? He’s out there crying over you, and he is a complete disaster! Honestly, it’s really weirding me out, even more than how he normally is! So please forgive him, or better yet, apologize to him for assuming he was cheating on you! He loves you, Amora, even I can see that!”

After a few more moments he finally leaves the room and closes the door. Soon though, I heard it open again and close. I barely hear the footsteps walking closer as I continue to cry. Suddenly, they lay down beside me, carefully wrapping an arm around me.

I knew it was Undertaker, and I seemed to cry even more. I didn’t know what to believe. Is Ciel right? Was he really trying to push her away? Or was he the one kissing her back?

I then feel him pulling me more into him, and I can almost hear his cries.
“Amora... I’m so sorry.” I barely hear him say. “Please believe me when I say this... I didn’t kiss her, Amora!” He sounded so broken, and he turns me around to look at him, but I couldn’t bring myself to do so. “Amora, please! I promise you I was only trying to push her away! I love you, and only you!”

He brings his hand to my chin and makes me look at him. He not only sounded broken, but he looked broken as well, and it hurt me even more. But I couldn’t bring myself to forgive him. He tries leaning in for a kiss, but I forced myself to look away again and cry even more. “Baby, please...” He then buries his face into my chest as he cries even more as well.

“You’re my everything, Amora! I don’t want to lose you, please. You’re all I have left, baby, you’re my greatest treasure. Please believe me!”

“H-how am I s-supposed to believe you, w-when she is much better looking then I-I am!?” I tried questioning. He tightens his hold on me as he looks back up at me. “Amora, not in my eyes! You are all I ever want! You hold my heart, baby, you have to believe me! I want to spend the rest of my life with you and you only! I-”

“I can’t give you any children though!” I cry out. “Amora, listen to me! Whether you can give me children or not, I only want you! I told you I can try coming up with something to help you conceive, baby. You are my world, the most beautiful woman I have ever seen and known. You hold my heart, nobody else will-”

“Don’t lie to me-”

“I’m not lying! What do I need to do to prove my love for you, Amora?! Whatever it is, I’ll do it!”
