Making our way back home, we both head into the bedroom. “If you don’t mind me asking, what are in the boxes? Still what I gave you?” He asks. “Actually, umm... No. Those are... A... Surprise.”
“Oh? A surprise? For what?” He dared to ask. “You’ll just have to wait and see.” I answer. “You guys have finally decided to return, did you?” Tori asks as she walks into the room. “Yes, sorry we were a little late. We had some... Tiny issues along the way.” He answers.
“No matter, it is time to get ready now.”
“Adrian, go ahead and use this room for yourself to get ready in. I’ll use another room.”
“Are you sure?”
“Absolutely-”
“There’s no time to discuss this. We have to get ready now!” Tori exclaims as she grabs my arm, and we head into another room.
What was hanging on one of the wall hangers was a beautiful pink dress. Honestly, I was never a fan of the color pink, but this was just beautiful! “Tori, is this the dress I’ll be wearing?!” I ask as she closes the door. “It is. Is it not to your liking?”
“No, it’s... I’m not normally a fan of the color pink, but it’s beautiful!”
“I’m glad to hear you like it. I figured this would be the best dress as it matches your new jewelry you got today. I figured you’d want to be wearing them, as they are perfect for a beach wedding.”
“Thank you so much, Tori! I really appreciate all you’re doing for us!”
After changing into the dress, she begins fixing my hair up some. “Any particular way you would like me to do your hair?”
“Just something simple. I’ll save the big things for next time. Some braids should be fine.”
“As you wish, my lady.” She begins making some braids, before looking at me in the mirror.
“Is everything alright?”
“Everything just seems so surreal. While we had originally planned to get married today, things ended up changing... Because of me. So it was actually my idea to go ahead and get married today anyway. But it still seems... Surreal!
If anyone had told me a month and a half ago that I would be getting married today, and to... The Undertaker... I just don’t know. I would have never in a million years had thought that I, Amora Phantomhive, would be so head over heels in love with this man. And more importantly, be pregnant with his baby...
I’ve always loved him dearly, but never like this. He was always my person, but again, never like this. So the fact that I am over the moon in love with him, and him with me, and that we are really getting married and wanting to spend our lives together... Seems like one beautiful and magnificent dream... A fairy tail!
A month and a half ago, I never even knew where my life was heading. Or where I would end up. I had thought my brother was dead. I had no idea how to even get in contact with other family. I was... Alone. I had no one but the people I worked with. And of course you.
It’s just.... I don’t even know. My life turned in a completely different direction so fast. We weren’t even supposed to be having a baby! We thought it would be impossible because of my situation. But apparently, a stronger life force had bigger plans.”
“You mean God?”
“You know, normally I would say that, but in this situation I really don’t know. This whole time he has been punished by God for what he did. But then again, Adrian has finally been able to be somewhat happy this last month and a half. Somewhat. Because he still has crap thrown at him here and there, but I still feel it’s been because of me. This whole Phantomhive curse.
I don’t know what to think, truthfully. I would like to say perhaps he’s starting to be forgiven. But then... That kind of terrifies me at the same time. Because he’s forced to stay in this world until the day he’s forgiven. But as we both know, he deserted the Reaper Dispatch, therefore he might not ever be forgiven.
But it still terrifies me that should he ever be forgiven, I’ll end up losing him. And I’ll be alone again!”
“Amora, that’s enough thinking for you. You’re going to get yourself worked up, and you can’t be doing that. Everything will be just fine, and as much as I don’t want to say this, but I highly doubt he would leave you here all alone. As long as he can help it, he will be staying right by your side until the very end. He’s not just going to leave you alone to care for your children, or leave you alone at all. I will admit he truly loves and adores you. You don’t have anything to worry about, my lady.”
“Thank you, Tori. That actually means the world to me hearing that come from you. And another thing, you should maybe start getting used to not calling me “my lady” anymore. Once I’m married, I will no longer be of nobility. I’ll be giving that life up once we seal our marriage with the kiss. But that’s my choice. I never cared for being a noble. Or dealing with all the responsibilities. In a small way, I guess that is why I never really told anybody who I really was after learning the truth of my family’s murder, and my own supposed death. It’s been quite nice being my own person. So I won’t be missing anything.”
“This is a major step for you. You’re throwing away your title, and becoming just a normal commoner.”
“All for the sake of love. I would do it a million times over if it meant spending the rest of eternity with the one I love and cherish. Even should I ever be banned for it, as nobles are forbidden to be with a commoner, I would still choose him. I would choose Adrian over the world!”
“That’s quite the statement, Amora. Your love for him really runs that deep?”
“Absolutely and without a doubt. He is my everything. My treasure. I don’t think there is anything I wouldn’t do for him either.”
“I see.” She turns me around and begins to do my makeup before helping to put on my jewelry.
“Alright, my la- I mean, Amora. I’m all finished. What do you think?” She asks, and I turn to look into the mirror. “Tori... It’s... It’s perfect! Simple but sweet, thank you so much!” I say as I turn to hug her. “Alright, let’s get going already. I’ll go check on Adrian quick, I’ll be right back.”
She leaves the room for a few moments before returning into the room. “It appears he already made his way out. We better be on our way immediately, we don’t want to keep your groom waiting, do we?”
“Are you sure he left?”
“He’s not anywhere in the house, so he had to have.”
“Alright then, let’s go.”
***mini time skip***
Even though South Milton Sands was over 4 hours away, we managed to arrive to the beach just as the sun was setting. She seemed to have everything set up already for us, and we were just waiting on Adrian.
“If he had already left, shouldn’t he be here by now?”
