Jay pov

I was sitting at my desk worrying about Ara when a cute girl walked up to me "Hi, I'm Yera your partner" She spoke in a soft voice

"Hey I'm Jay" I smiled

"Uh so are we working at your house or mine?" She asked

"We can work at mine" I replied

"Sounds good" She smiled back

Why does she look so familiar? She almost looks like- No way, my middle school crush. She got even prettier I almost didn't recognize her

Ara pov

As soon as I got home I collapsed onto the couch and threw curses at No one in particular. Then after that, I went upstairs and changed into a plain hoodie and shorts to show San that I was not trying to impress him AT. ALL.

Ding dong

I opened the door expecting to find San but finding that Yera girl why's she here?

"Boo" Jay peeped from the other side of the door

"Aish you scared me" I put my hand on my chest dramatically and opened the door wider inviting them in

"We'll be upstairs if you need us" Jay said while grabbing a few snacks

I just nodded in response and watched him pull her upstairs they seem close

"Tch mind your business Ara" I bonked myself on the head for caring

Ding dong

Who is it now?
I walked to the door and opened it to find San standing there like a model Ugh so annoying
I left the door open for him to come in and I walked away to sit on the couch, completely ignoring him

"Hey" he smiled, I just scoffed and scrolled through my phone

"OK then" he sighed

"I'll do the typing and you do the research" I said curtly wanting to get everything over with

"Okay" he said with a hint of sadness

~Time skip 3 hours

I raised my hands above my head stretching

"Do you want to take a break?" San asked

"No I'm fine"

"Are you sure? You look pretty tired"

"I said I'm fine, why do you care so much" I snapped

He mumbled something that I didn't here and looked down

Yera pov

Me and Jay had been working for a while- well partly working, we were joking around half the time

"OK ok we actually have to do some more work" I said between giggles

"Fine fine" he pouted like a kid
How cute

I had known Jay in middle school and had a crush on him and I think he liked me too but the both of us weren't ready to date and we were too shy to ask each other out.

Maybe it'll work out this time
