KASDEYA ARGYROS' Point of View

"Himala. You came out of a battle against Theon and you're barely scratched.

Not because of the medicine but because of what he said. It exposed red tissue underneath my skin, but no blood dripped from it.

Some demigods in Acropolis volunteer to become medical specialists, which is helpful for times like this.

The girl dabs a cotton on my cheek while I stare into nothingness, ignoring River's comment. My mind hasn't moved on from what happened earlier. Tila na-stuck ito sa nakaraan.

Theon's words won't stop echoing in my head.

"Twelve seconds before midnight. Meet me at the temple of the gods, then I'll tell you everything you want to know."

Twelve seconds before midnight? That's way too specific.

Wala naman akong angal sa bilin niya. Maybe it's an Alastorian thing. If he wants me there by that exact moment, then I'll follow his orders. Just this once.

I glare at him. "Shut up, you fake redhead."

Malakas na tumawa si Paris. He looks hysterical with a hand on his stomach. I can still hear his laugh in the hallway until it completely disappears.

Napailing nalang si River bago kami tingnan nung nurse. "Sorry, he's... special."

I really think that guy has a screw loose in his head.

When the nurse finally gave me a go signal to leave, hindi na ako nag-aksaya ng oras at umalis na ng infirmary. She is a daughter of Apollo, kaya mabilis nahilom ang sugat ko. No sign of the wound is left on my skin in just a few minutes.

Though judging from the Hellenes' quick departure after being healed, mukhang didiretso pa sila sa arena o kaya sa Imitheos Towers para mag-training.

Some of them are so determined to become stronger, it's fascinating.

I look up at the darkening skies. The silhouette of the moon is bright enough that it scatters light all over the nighttime heavens.

For the first time, the dark skies, accompanied by the moon and a symphony of stars, doesn't trigger the ugliness of my past.

There's a few more hours before I have to meet Theon at the temple of the gods. I'm not a fan of waiting for so long, but I don't have a choice.
