AETHER LEE'S Point of View

"Get out of here."

We surround him along with Reinn, Titus, Abigail, and Hailey but no one has managed to put a scratch on him.

"Are you out of your mind? You can't take that guy by yourself!"

I give her a deadpanned look. I glance at the guy in black mask. He's only watching us.

Napatingin muli ako sa iba. Do they really think I want to do this?

Of course I don't. I don't even want to bother with the Katharsis.

Generally, I don't want anything to do with this stupid war that started because of a stupid reason of saving a stupid girl as if she's some kind of princess.

I get it, they have a weird 'frenemies' relationship, but did he have to drag us with him?

This war— that I never wanted to be a part of in the first place— doesn't sit right with me, and it's become the source of my bad mood. I never liked detours like this because it drives me away from my goal, my real goal. The main reason why I'm here parading with naïve demigods.

If Kasdeya Argyros wants survival out of all things in this world, I seek for the truth.

Missions, gods, classes, training, and my deity parent... None of them matters to me. So why am I here, helping these demigods that will give me no benefit whatsoever?

It's because I need the credit.

Because I want attention.

It's made out of glass and inside it is a strange liquid.

"Move out of the way, Ackley. Can't you see that I'm excited to play a game?" I lie with a smile.

You can't beat him by yourself, he's one of the strongest of the Katharsis. Look at what he did!"

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the corpses lying in front of us.

Hindi sila ang pinunta ko rito, and I've already mentioned how much I hate diversions from my current plans.

Tumingin muli ako kay River. "Just go away. Why are you so hellbent into trying to talk me out of this? Si London alalahanin mo, she's close to dying, you know."

She tries to speak again but I cut her off. Gods, why is she so persistent? We're not even friends.

"I don't like getting disrupted. You know that. And you also know that I won't hesitate to do anything to get any obstacle out of my way." Sinigurado ko na alam niyang seryoso ako. I raise my head and look down at her with glaring eyes.

I'm not scared to do something horrendous just to ger her out of my sight.

Nanlaki ang mga mata niya. I expect her to get angry. River is strong and prideful soldier, kaya alam kong ayaw na ayaw niyang tinitingnan ng ganoon. She'll definitely pull my ear.
