KASDEYA ARGYROS' Point of View
The chess piece falls when she knocks it over the board.
I groan. "Can you stop appearing in my dreams?"
May hawak siyang isang chess piece.
"Oh. So you know this is a dream." She sighs in what I can only describe as a childish echo from the void. "You are wise but I still forget sometimes because... you're always choosing the dumbest choices."
Kumunot ang noo ko. "Anong pinagsasasabi mo?"
She chuckles, before placing the piece down. "Aw, did I hit a nerve?"
"Just tell me who you are and what you want, nang matapos na 'to. Nagsasawa na ako sa pagmumukha mo."
Natawa siya muli. "But, Kasdeya, you haven't seen my face yet."
"Then step away from the shadows and show yourself. Stop being a coward, little girl."
It's almost like the darkness bends upon her moods and emotions. She's still holding onto the chess piece she sets down on the board.
She breaks the board, crushing it underneath the piece. I didn't think that's possible, let alone for someone as tiny as her.
"You have no right to call me coward," She hisses a song of poisonous vipers. "You reek of hypocrisy. I almost feel bad for you."
I grit my teeth. I haven't seen her face yet and she's already getting on my nerves. "Wake me up. Now."
I feel her move closer to me, but not a single string of light lets me see who she really is.
She touches one of the chest pieces and pushes it, causing it to fall.
The chest piece stops the moment it comes in contact with my skin. I feel myself shiver at the slightest touch of the cold thing.
Her pale hand moves closer to me on the table. "They think they can suppress me?" She laughs again, but this time, it's humorless. "Soon. All of them will realize their mistake. I won't stay still. I will corrupt you and take the throne I'm supposed to have."
The menace and threat in her soft, childish voice somehow makes her even more intimidating. It sounds so... twisted.
She withdraws away from me and I hear the creak of her chair when she sits back down.
"I'll wake you up, but first, I can't let you go away without my helpful parting words..." She trailw off with a hint of sinister. "What's my next advice again?" Tanong niya sa kaniyang sarili.
My eyebrows furrowed. Next advice?
She gasps in anticipation. "Oh, I know. It's... never trust the goddess from the woods."
I blink repeatedly before looking up at her and coming back from my daze.
