KASDEYA ARGYROS' Point of View

There's two things in my mind that would keep me up until morning: One, Theon's questionable abilities and entire existence, and two, the monster we're both currently running after.

Right now, the only thing my mind can respond with is sleep.

The car engines buzzing through the road, the awake lights of establishments, and the roar of chatty mortals walking around like ants are enough to give me a headache.

It's already a struggle to stop my head from bobbing up and down.

My eyes shot open when I feel him yank on the hood of my cloak.

Inangat niya ito bago pa man ako tuluyang bumagsak sa sahig. Sumunod ang ulo ko. "Get your shit together, Argyros."

Humaba ang nguso ko. "Inaantok na ako..."

"Sleep on the streets then," He sneers. "And I'll leave you here."

I try to glare at him through my hooded eyelids. "Ang sama ng ugali mo. Mamatay ka sana ng maaga."

I hear him scoff softly before looking away. Hindi manlang niya ako hinintay nang maglakad na siya paalis, as if he has the intention to fulfill what he said.

"Would it kill you to show me a little more compassion?" I ask when I catch up to his pace.

He rolls his eyes without looking at me. "The real question is, do you deserve my compassion?"

"Malamang. Bakit hindi?"

"Nothing about your reckless actions and sharp tongue is worth any ounce of kindness."

"May I remind you that you tried to kill me twice? You haven't apologized yet, at least show me that you regret everything by being nice to me."

"Why must you always bring that up?"

"Because you're a fucking asshole, that's why!"

"You two," Napunta sa likuran namin ang aming atensyon nang may sumingit sa usapan namin ni Theon. One of his Five Lotus stands in front of us with tired eyes, but it's not the kind of tired from lack of sleep.

"Forgive my boldness, Young Master, but you and Ms. Argyros have been arguing since we left the Acropolis.

"I don't like scolding you, but as your loyal follower, I have to step up. Let us please focus on the mission. Tigilan niyo na ang pag-aaway."

Tahimik kaming nagkatinginan ni Theon. If one of his 'secret agents' or whatever already noticed our arguments, ibig sabihin ay sumosobra na ang pag-aaway namin.

I know how to compromise for the sake of work kaya hindi na ako umangal. This guy is right. We need to focus or else we'll lose sight of what matters most— Finding the escaped monster.
