Chapter 25: Erebus Dorm

KASDEYA ARGYROS' Point of View

I barely had any rest after the mission. Bumagsak ako sa kama at pagdilat ko, umaga na agad.

Kinausap ako ng Deputy Commander bago ako pabalikin sa aking kwarto kahapon. He told me to wake up early because today is the day I'll be an official member of the Hellenes.

Napasimangot ako sa salamin nang maisip ko yun. Gods damnit. I was so exhausted after basically leaving the whole murder case in my care. Kung mas malala pa doon ang mga susunod naming mission, I'd drop dead.

Baka yung responsibilidad ko pa ang papatayan sa akin, hindi yung mga halimaw sa labas.

Inayos ko ang suot kong uniform bago lumabas ng kwarto. Ngayon rin ako lilipat sa dormitories kung saan makakasama ko ang ilang Hellenes. T members share a living quarters with each other.

Hindi siya katulad ng normal residents na may isang kwarto sa bawat floor. They say that each floor is dedicated to one deity and doon nananatili ang mga anak nila.

Pero para sa Hellenes members, sila ang magkakasama. There's a gossip floating around that the dorms where I'll be living in are actually really beautiful. Naririnig ko lang iyon sa mga normal residents kaya hindi ako sigurado.

I decide to keep my expectations low. I don't like getting disappointed.

Dumiretso ako sa Commander's Office para makausap si Sir Adonis. I expected na there will only be the two of us inside the room, but I see a bunch of people.

Kumatok ako bago buksan ang pinto kaya nasa akin na agad ang atensyon nila nang makapasok ako.

Nakaupo silang lahat sa mga upuang nasa harapan ng lamesa. All twelve Hellenes stare at me, their attention unwavering while they survey me from head to toe, clad in their clean and unique uniforms.

Nasa tabi ng mga lamesa ang dalawang Higher Ups, Calix Alastor and his wife, Franchesca Kiros-Alastor.

Hindi ko gusto ang tingin na binibigay niya sa akin. She looks hostile, as if she's ready to jump and attack me once I do something she wouldn't like. The fact that she's a descendant of Hecate makes her even more intimidating.

All of Hecate's kids are destined to be powerful. I don't believe in fate much, but that's always the ending for them.

Hecate's children are big powerhouses, something to be expected from the descendants of the goddess who is also treated like a titan.

And Aether and this woman don't like me. They don't know the word 'pity' when it comes to me.

Nag-iwas na ako ng tingin sakaniya at tumingin sa lalaking nakatayo sa harapan ng lahat. Sir Adonis Castello gives me a soft smile before clearing his throat.

"Since the girl of the hour is here, let's start the discussion."

Napasinghal ako bago isarado ang pinto sa aking likuran. I walk towards them, head held high to make sure that I look tough in front of them. "Akala ko tayo lang ang mag-uusap, Deputy Commander."

"You'll be the newest member of our most important faction. It's only fair that everyone is present." Masiglang sagot ni Sir Calix. When I glance at him, he smiles at me warmly with his eyes turning into two crescents.

"Maupo ka, Kasdeya."

Umusog si River at tinapik ang space sa tabi niya. I raise a brow before sitting next to her. Wala na ring available na upuan kaya I have no choice. Okyupado ng ibang miyembro ang lahat ng space.

Nagsimula nang magsalita si Sir Adonis nang makaupo ako. "Before we start, everyone in this room is in agreement to hand over the position to Argyros?" Tanong niya sa lahat.
