Chapter 51.5: A Celebration [Short]

Max could feel himself heave a happy sigh, as he stood in front of the mirror with a small smile on his face. However, he couldn't tell whether if it was out of relief, happiness or sadness and regret. Surely, the experiences he had were always mixed the moment he landed himself in St. Freya. He gained new friends, two of which unfortunately had feelings for him, and found out he wasn't the only male to be resistant to the Honkai.

Add in the fact that he had his ancestor and many others by his side, it made him a happy boy.

But then he also remembered the traumatic experience he had to go through, and that in turn made him bitter ever so slightly.

"Max? Come on, we're gonna be late for the event!" Kiana called out, opening his door. She wore a white dress with frills at the ends that made her look adorable. Seeing the boy now in a suit akin to a butler, complete with the white gloves, made the girl blush. Noticing this, he smiled and nodded soon after, following after her while everyone else seem to be waiting for the two.

Bronya, still hugging her stuffed Homu, was in a navy blue dress with her hair in a ponytail instead of her signature twin drills. Said ponytail was held by a rainbow coloured scrunchie that was oddly contrasting to her entire colour scheme, but it must have felt rather appropriate.

Mei wore a traditional yukata, as it felt somewhat appropriate for the summer, with Sakura pink and bright sunflower yellow adorning the dress in beautiful detail. She had a hair brooch that resembled a Sakura petal at her right side of her cheek. Noticing Kiana's blush, Max nudged at her with a smirk, causing the white haired girl to glare at the boy with non-threatening intent.

Fu Hua crossed her arms across her flat chest, wearing a light blue qipao that felt appropriate, and she even let out a small smile seeing the boy.

"The others are probably waiting for us right now. Come on now Max."

Nodding, the group proceeded to walk to their destination, the Hyperion.

"About time you guys are here," Himeko commented with a grin, as she wore what seemed to be a suit. . . A bunny suit, to be precise. This left the other girls questioning as to why she would wear something like that.

"You guys are here!"

Sofia appeared beside the two, grinning as well as the boy was inexplicably dragged away by his mother. All around them were different people that the boy recognized pretty well, and he even spotted John talking to Emilia casually that resulted in the two almost looking dead drunk.

It seem like alcohol was legalized on the Hyperion. . .

"Captain (Y/N)! They've arrived!"

You turn around to face the German blonde who had a cheeky grin on her face, while she held onto a blonde boy that resembled her pretty well. He seemed initially baffled, but he then saluted to you silently. Chuckling, you ruffled his hair and turned to look at Sofia.

"Are the preparations complete?" You question.

"They are, Cap. Don't worry too much. You're the main attraction, after all."

"Am I?"

The boy seemed confused of the situation at hand, and seeing how confused he was, you only put a finger to your lips. Understanding this gesture, you saw the boy nodded.

"I'll be there soon. You should go back."

Nodding, the poor boy was dragged off by the blonde woman. Seeing this, you chuckled.
