"Hello, everyone! I am Lisa, the homeowner of this house. I apologize if it's not up to the usual standards."

'This seems fine for me to be honest,' Max thought.

Everyone had grouped up in the living room, with Diake and Rukia sitting at the other ends of the couch, while Himeko and Max stood behind it. Squad V + Emilia sat on the couch itself while Lisa stood in front of them all.

"Well, we're at least glad that we have a roof above our heads," Himeko admitted, with the rest nodding in forceful compliance.

Except for Max. He complied voluntarily as usual.

"Well, you can walk around the house if you'd like. There's plenty of space to go around to, and once you're done, you can assign your rooms and roommates," Lisa cheerfully stated. It was from this point onward that Max, Diake and Mei felt something off about her. Something about the contrast of her house and her personality felt like day and night, but could it possibly be because she wanted to be polite?

Nonetheless, they said their thanks to her and began exploring, with Max focusing more on the photos that hung and stood all over the living room. The pictures were blurry, as if years of negligence had caused these photos of memorials to become clouded by the forgotten times. Pointing to the pictures, Lisa noticed this, and went beside the boy.

"I didn't bother with cleaning the pictures. Maybe you can help me out?" She asked the boy. The boy, eager to help, nodded as he followed the woman to acquire a bucket of water and small towels to clean the pictures, passing by Diake, who was staring at the stairs out of curiosity.

"Go on up, sweetie. Don't be shy," Lisa told the white haired adult, who looked at her with slight suspicion before slowly walking upwards. He was the first guest to have gone up upstairs after all.

'Be careful. It could be a trap as far as I'm concerned,' the voice told him.

'You have serious trust issues, but I don't blame you. That's why no one trust you as well,' Diake responded in his head. This was followed by a headache.

'Did you forget who gave you the power?'

'Did you forget that I can still kill without you?'

'. . .'

The voice became silent once again to indicate Diake's triumph against it, while the white haired boy made careful steps to the first floor, where he was greeted by several doors in different paths of the hallways. Checking one door, his eyes widened.

"I'm not that religious, but this is just. . ."

The room was decorated fully with items in relation to Buddhism, with statues of Buddha hanging or standing around on shelves and clothes hangers, with the room's paint close of that of gold. The windows were also tinted gold for some reason, and the bed. . . There was no bed. Just a mattress with a pillow and a blanket on the floor. The floor itself was white with square tiles, with no dust or grime or even trash all over the place. It was immaculately clean.

"Is this their praying room?" He questioned, before shaking his head and closing the door. Opening the door beside it, he let out a relieved sigh as he saw that it was just the bathroom, with a bathtub and a shower head nearby. Examining the door at the left most end of the hallway, he slowly opened the door, and soon covered his nose.

"Gah! Smells like someone went through 10 rounds of sex or something. God. . ."

The smell of something pungent, yet familiar enough that it was successfully discerned to not be piss or feces burst out of the room and onto the white haired boy, before he finally took a look at what was in it. The room was dimly lit, the light source being a small lamp on a desktop near the bed. The bed and carpet was stained with dried liquid that the white haired boy knew immediately what it was.
