"You gotta be kidding me. . ." Seere and John grumbled, knowing exactly who that dragon was. Suddenly, John noticed the girl with blue hair, or rather it seemed blue due to the lighting of the facility. The familiarity she had continued to tug at his memory that he tried so hard to remember, only for it to be in vain.

"Okay then, what the hell do we do then?!" Sofia exclaimed, echoing footsteps at regular intervals heard from her as well.

"Getting out of there is not an option. You need bait or something to distract it enough so that you're able to ge--"

The communication got cut off, and Sofia stopped in her tracks as she heard nothing but incessant buzzing.

"Himeko?! Himeko do you read?!"

The buzzing continued and she cursed internally. She considered the worst case scenario, but observing the capabilities of the dragon based from previous encounters and records from Schicksal's combat database, she theorised that the dragon altered the electrons in the air, causing electricity to form and disrupt any sort of electronics. Heaving a sigh of relief, knowing that such a possibility was more likely than the Hyperion getting shot to shit by a dragon, she advanced towards Max's location.

.

The first thing she saw the moment she opened the door was the boy vomiting blood on the floor, and the slightly disgusted Sofia called out.

"Max? Sweetie, I'm here."

". . ."

The boy suddenly lunged towards Sofia despite the great distance between the two. Max began attempting to claw Sofia, who managed to restrain the infected child by kicking him against the wall and used her foot to hold him firm. She saw the boy's right eye in an odd mix of pink and blue, as if his humanity was beginning to deteriorate and began to accept his Zombification permanently.

"Max, snap out of it!!" She called out to the boy, who began to harmlessly claw against her well protected leg.

"He's too far gone."

Fu Hua's voice cuts through, and Sofia watched as she punched the boy, taking her off guard as she released the boy from her leg hold and Fu Hua pinning Max to the ground.

"Fu Hua, sto--"

"It's too late, Sofia. He's gone."

She raised her fist, but it was clear that she was struggling in attempting to do the deed, as the boy kept flailing and struggling in her hold. Her fists shook, and she tried too hard to contain her emotions, as tears threatened to come down her cheeks.

"He's not gone."

Another male voice, but this one completely unknown to both of them, as from the darkness, appeared a young boy with white hair, blue eyes and wore a priest's outfit. Specifically, a black shirt and black pants with also a black shoulder cape that wrapped around his shoulders. He also held a glowing white cross shaped spear, and a sword hung at the back of his waist.

". . . Diake?" Fu Hua questioned.

"Good guess but actually no. Can you send the boy to me? I promise you. . . Some harm may come, but otherwise he shall still be living."

". . . Why should we trust you? Where did you come from?" Sofia questioned, taking her sword out and pointing it towards the unknown person before them.

"Now now. Once again, I promise you, only some harm will come to the boy. He will still be alive, I promise you."

". . . Is this a Deus Ex Machina?" Sofia asked, having a firm grasp of the English vocabulary.
