It was that time of the year, where flowers were abundant, sweets were given out to loved ones, and occasionally, love hotels would be packed with horny teenagers. It was also a Sunday, which was a great thing for the students of St. Freya who had time to make confectionary for their families or loved ones. This included the young blonde boy named Max Reinard, who had plans to go to a store and buy some chocolates a few days before Valentines came along. . .

Before they all were sold out much to his chagrin. Eventually, he resorted to make his own. . . And then the cocoa, sugar and cream were all out of stock.

Valentines Day is one helluva day, isn't it?

After the shenanigan that happened in Germany, Squad V was temporarily banned from taking any mission whatsoever, not because of the fact that they caused havoc almost anywhere they went. But it was simply because havoc followed them to literally anywhere not named Soukai City. Although a few of them protested (read: only Kiana), everyone agreed that it was for the best and complied with the ban. They even met up with Emilia who somehow managed to escape from the Eruption and met them back at St. Freya.

They had a bit of suspicion, but it was outweighed by their relief of seeing her safe and alive.

They were that gullible, or at least they were in the perspective of Emilia.

Waking up to the sound of his alarm playing the Majima Construction Anthem, he sat up immediately with his hands behind his back as the alarm continued blaring throughout his room. Eventually, footsteps were heard outside his room, but stopped when the alarm went into a snooze, stopping the anthem in its tracks. Max, realising what he had just done, immediately laid himself back down and pretended like nothing happened as the door was knocked thrice.

"Hey, Max? Are you awake?"

It was Mei's voice. From her tone alone, he could tell she had something up in her sleeve, and so decided to just help her with whatever problem she might have.

He was that much of a doormat, but it can't be helped. He was taught to respect women the same way he wanted them to treat him; with utter politeness. He knew that this wouldn't really work as often as he hoped for, since he was in an academy where he is the only male, which in turn would make him a scapegoat for any incident that may seem to be the doings of a male even if he was not in the vicinity. It was because of this he was thankful to have his squad to always back him up.

Opening the door, he saw Mei in a fluffy white jacket with an artificial fur coat at the trims of the hoodie, with her hair in an intricately designed ponytail that gave her the appearance akin to a foreign princess, or a noblewoman. As an added bonus, Mei seem rather embarrassed that Max stared at her. The boy smiled softly seeing her in such a simple, but beautiful getup, before he tilted his head, wondering why she was in said getup. Seeing the boy's expression, she understood what message he was attempting to convey, and soon spoke up.

"I-I need you to help me with something. I-It's i-in Soukai City," she stuttered out of embarrassment. The boy tilted his head upwards, contemplating her reasoning, before Kiana popped into his mind.

'It's for her, isn't it?' He asked.

"H-how did--" The boy stopped her, seeing her becoming more embarrassed than she should, her ears and cheeks glowing with a red hue. The boy thought he could see steam appearing above her head, but he brushed it off as simply anime design.

He seem to slowly become more and more meta the longer this book goes on.

'I'll help out with your request, but where're the others?'

"Fu Hua said she had some business with Otto-sama. Kiana is still asleep. Bronya said she went to pick some flowers at the garden. Emilia said she was too busy studying for her written tests. Captain Himeko is probably out looking for another man to fill in the empty void left by Takanori-kun."
