"Where did you get that info?" Diake asked casually, crossing his arms across his chest. Bronya continued to seem emotionless.
"The Priest seem to take this a little too easily," she observed.
"Da. I'm not surprised that someone would know, considering that you have two other people in this very ship who are also hosts," Diake responded immediately. "But again, where did you get the info?"
He seem to ignore the fact that Bronya flinched upon his apparent knowledge of information he has never been informed about.
"And how do you know about them being hosts?" Bronya asked, as Diake saw a cannon partially appearing behind the girl's shoulder, aimed directly at him.
"I asked a question first. You should probably answer that, then I'll answer yours. Deal?"
The little girl stared at the older male's face, his expression with that of nonchalance, but his eyes told a different story. It seemed almost clear that the male had underwent something that caused him to turn into exactly who he was now: a boy who would laugh heartily even when danger was afoot, as if he was ready to fight against whatever odds that was stacked against him.
And so, she receded and told the boy.
"You seem to know too much."
"What do you expect? I walked all around the world, after all."
"The Bronya acquired the information from the Internet."
"Heeeh? How mundane. Since when have I become popular with social media eh?"
"The Bronya does not know. Now answer my question."
Diake, while he was somewhat unsatisfied with her answer, kept his word, and confessed.
And what Bronya heard out of his mouth caused her to stare at him in pure disbelief.
"Hey, if you don't believe me, it's fine. People's reaction was the same when I told them that."
"Y-you told other people about this?" She questioned, her emotionless exterior slowly breaking by the second by this white haired boy in priest's clothing.
"I mean, only specific number of people."
The conversation slowly got nowhere, with Diake's straightforward answers causing Bronya to become even more distraught and horrified by the boy, before she finally stopped asking, her head down to the floor with a horrified expression, while Diake, having no more questions being asked onto him, had a smug look on his face.
"This is why some things are best left unknown, Bronya," he told her, before walking past her and onto the training ground.
Whatever questions Bronya had about the boy was answered, but at what cost?
'Dude, you went fucking everything against her, but decided to keep the fact about my existence a secret from him?' The voice questioned.
'He'll find out sooner or later.'
'Oh, so you don't mind telling an NPC about me but not the player himself?'
'How bold of you to play God, Kaide. So far, you've failed countless hosts, allowing them to be killed by Herscherr of the Void because you never learned your mistake. Not to mention, you even allowed my alternate self to be killed simply because you wanted the world I was in to converge with the tree. What kinda fucked up request is that?'
'A necessary one.'
'Bullshit. If not for the fact that I have Rukia to take care of, I'd jump off this ship.'
