The next day

The boy wore something more formal for the occasion, as he walked around the academy aimlessly in the search of the library, ignoring the whispers and stares he had been getting. It was less hostile and were more of him being in the news yesterday and how he seem fine despite what he went through.

He never bothered to listen anyway.

The boy wore a white long sleeved shirt and a dark blue tie that he properly adjusted. He also wore a pair of black trousers and still wore his sports shoes. He still wore his black gloves, as it was completely unharmed during his battle with the three Honkai, and for some inexplicable reason, the doctors never bothered to take them off.

Or maybe they did, but they never addressed it, or saw something they were too scared of.

It took him a long while, but eventually, he found a large door that didn't look like the principal's office. Heaving a sigh, the boy slowly pushed the door open.

His eyes widened by the large amount of books that he had already seen at the shelves of library at his two sides. And that was only the hallway of the library. Sensing that there must be more of this, he began to smile.

'Let's see everything in its glory.'

He then closed the door behind him and began to explore the stupendously large library. The boy never expected a library to be so big and filled to the brim with all kinds of books. He soon encountered steps of stairs, and soon climbed these small steps and spotted even more shelves of books. At the centre was a circular desk, and many other desks at a certain radius of said desk.

'Oh my. This is more than I thought it would be,' he thought, before a hand crept to his shoulder, causing him to be in shock and jumped slightly in shock as he backed away.

"Geez Max. How is it that you're very proficient in battle but never bothered to look around if anyone was even there," Fu Hua told him. Seeing that it was just his great ancestor, he heaved a sigh and proceeded with sign language, knowing that she knew that language.

I mean, if someone had lived for more than a thousand years, who didn't?

'When were you here?' He asked, tilting his neck.

"I was here earlier than you, that's for sure," Fu Hua replied, a smile appearing on her face. The boy tilted his head in response.

"Are you here because you want to study early?" She asked. The boy shook his head, before he remembered her saying 'study early.'

'Are you my personal tutor?' He asked.

"I am. How lucky for you, huh?" She asked with her arms crossed her chest.

'I suppose so,' the boy replied with a smile, before he remembered her earlier question.

'Regarding your question, I would much prefer exploring this whole thing first before we study, please?' The boy asked.

"I forgot you had a book fetish."

'Great Ancestor Fu Hua! Books are the source of knowledge! Calling it a fetish is such a derogatory term!' The boy seemingly exclaimed with shock, earning a chuckle and a hair ruffle from Fu Hua, despite the former being taller than her.

"Again, you almost didn't change at all," she commented, before she went towards one of the empty desks. The boy tilted his head, wondering what she was doing.

"Oh. You can go and explore all you want. When the bell rings, I expect you to be here by 20 seconds," she said to him, her elbow on the table and her hand on her chin.
