Cigno Fanciulla Act I: Sinfonia Sparza
《Intermission - Desires 'Another Ending'》
[ R18+ Smut Content Ahead ]

"Where she dances the night away with Kaeya, turning a blind eye to Scaramouche. Where the Cavalry Captain stakes his claim on Fenella, dying her in his colors."

"Fenella, thank you for staying behind and letting us apprehend your companion. Rest assured that he will not reach you, as he is confined in prison. You will be rewarded for your bravery, although you must understand that you must remain under strict supervision." Jean informed me, now that we were all gathered back into the headquarters of the Knights of Favonius.

True as she said, I had betrayed Scaramouche. I helped the Knights of Favonius to hold him down and have him in prison for a few days until they get intel out of him on what the Fatui really plans to do. As for me, I had expressed willingness to share of my information - at least those I had knowledge of.

All these for the price of freedom.

I bit my lip lightly, showing my anxiousness as I grip Kaeya's hand out of searching for comfort. All throughout this time, the Cavalry Captain worked his way into my heart as far as staying by my side the whole time while the events unfolded.

My gaze shaky, I seek the reassurance while looking up to him. He senses my discomfort, then squeezes my hand ever so gentle yet firm to tell me that he was there for me. His sapphire blue hues look down on me, giving me all the assurance I ever needed.

Indeed, I was scared of crossing my family. I was even more terrified knowing that anytime they could take me and torture me - treat me like how they treat their ungrateful servants.

"I understand." I manage to speak out loud.

The Knights of Favonius all looked at me with worry and pity. Never had they seen me break out of my strong front. Never had they expected that I could be this fragile. So, to see me now...

They couldn't help but feel sorry for me.

"I would offer to have her at the Dawn Winery, but I believe the Cavalry Captain already has this under control." Diluc says, his voice hinting that he still cares despite knowing my affiliation with the Fatui.

The man beside me chuckles, "Oh, is my brother having a change of heart with the Fatui?" He teased.

Diluc scoffs, "I am not your brother, and I'm only considering to see Fenella in a different light seeing her willingness to cooperate for Mondstat's safety."

Kaeya raises both of his hands, the ghost of his hand still lingering on mine as he gave off a light laugh, "Alright alright. If you all would excuse us, I believe my fair maiden here would love to have a rest so we shall get going."

"Do take care of her, Kaeya." Jean reminds him, before the both of us made our way out of the office, and into where the Cavalry Captain's residence was at.

His place was a cozy apartment of average size. It wasn't small, nor was it fairly big. It was just decent enough that it had a bedroom, a lounge area, and a bathroom. He did have a tiny dining table, but there had been no stock of food nor a trace of a kitchen.

I've been here a few times before, and I could say it did feel as if there was a slight air of loneliness in his chambers. This was something I could resonate with.
