Where Did You Go!

Where did you go when you closed your eyes?
Did your soul crossover the border?
Your body's here but there's no one in
You'll soon be tagged out of order
The fire that burned deep within
Cannot be stoked again
Gravity tugs on every molecule left behind
Did you swim up against the rain?
Did you jump into a dream?
Will you wait for me there?
Are you going to give me directions?
Are you in a castle in the air?
I can't wait here all day
Waiting for you to answer me
You're not in anymore
I need to know where you'll be!
Do I have to worry my whole life?
Just waiting for a sign
Are you going to wait till the last second?
Before I'm shown the line!
Has your soul moldered away
Like your body will one day?
As I await my mortal demise
Please show me where you went when you closed your eyes!
