Shall I compare thee to a Winter's day?
by PJ Perry
Shall I compare thee to a Winter's day?
Thou art more numbing and more desolate
Ague clouds whirling the sky fierce and grey
Smites golden rays from heaven's eye with hate
Sometimes to harsh the artic wind doth blow
And oft' in your breath I drop down frozen
Your cold heart beats, forever lost its glow
An unfeeling season that you've chosen
But thy ageless Winter sometime must tire
A warm spell melting hearts to break the ice
Frigid mountain peaks battle your coldfire
And ice caps melt from each throw of your dice
Seasons end, so too is life left laden
Bitterness survives in you, Ice Maiden!
