What Does She Look Like?
By PJ Perry
Red streaks in ginger hair
Brown boots to the knee
Jeans held together with many a tear
She walks with indignity
She has no airs or graces
What does she look like?
You see it on everyone's faces
Those taunting words so strike
They bounce off her invisible shield
And have fallen on deaf ears
Her inner anger's kept concealed
You'll never see her tears
What does she look like?
I will tell you so
Someone strong she'll never strike
Against those who kick so low
She's a real human being
Helps those in desperate need
She's someone with deep feeling
That'll bind the wounds that bleed
She gives food to the homeless
She doesn't care for fancy
She cannot wear that cocktail dress
She never had the tendency
She helps so many people
And you are such a fool
You should follow her example
She's the perfect individual
